Which Club in Europe Has Done the Best Business This Summer?

Go for it...

From Juventus, to Barcelona, to Everton, to Chelsea and some would even say Arsenal who have all done relatively decent business this summer.

Maybe you think otherwise or you agree.  How do you see this upcoming season with the new recruitments plus what was there already?

bit premature to for this thread as European clubs can still do business til the end of this month. Premier League clubs could even lose players to these European clubs.

True!

But we could get started with the Premier League clubs and what's been recruited in some of Europe's clubs?

Spurs then

In all honesty, probably the 2 Merseyside clubs. Shaqiri, Fabinho and Keita are good additions to Liverpool's midfield/attacking options. The signings today for Everton also strengthen similar areas in addition to Richarlison who should do quiet well with better players around him than he did at Watford. They've also strengthened their defence; going from Williams/Jagielka/ageing Baines to Zouma/Mina/Digne is definitely improvement.

Fulham and Wolves have done some good business (on paper) as well given it's their first seasons back in the Premier League for a while. It's well-documented what Wolves' background is but I didn't expect Fulham to smash £100m on players! Schurrle, Seri, Rico (!), Mawson, Vietto, Chambers is decent for them. A couple of weeks ago I was worried about their squad size but they've pulled it out the bag there even if some are loan deals. Definitely bolstered their squad depth there.

Liverpool, Wolves and Fulham have improved their squads the most in the transfer window while what Everton have carried out is good business even if we've arguably not made the same raw improvements as those three teams.

You never know though until the signings have had time to prove themselves. Keita could end up getting sent off 5 times this season, Wolves could completely fail to gel with all of their new signings, Mitrovic could be found wanting in the Premier League again and Mina could pal up with Michael Keane to create the worst centre half pairing in the league. Only time will tell. :what:

In the Premier League it has to be Liverpool quite easily.

They've added a lot strength in the middle and replaced a weak goalkeeper. To complement their already well established front 3.

Next year is definitely their year.

Liverpool and Everton have both strengthened very well and should do well next season if everything clicks, obviously in different parts of the table, as you wouldn't expect Everton to be fighting for the league this season, but should definitely be looking at battling for European places.

Atletico have had a fantastic window and Barcelona, I believe have strengthened all the right areas as far as depth is concerned. It looks a stronger squad 'on paper' than last season definitely.

Juventus obviously themselves. Simply signing C.Ronaldo alone makes for a great window.

I also would like to mention Real Betis, they have done some very shrewd business and have an interesting team there. They might do well in the Europa league this year.
