This year's 11 nominees were selected by UEFA's Technical Observers. There is one nominee from each of the main UEFA competitions which have been active over the past 12 months. Only goals registered in UEFA club or international fixtures were eligible for consideration.

Olga Carmona (Switzerland 0-2 SPAIN)

UEFA Technical Observers say: Powerfully and accurately struck left-footed finish.

Elliot Embleton (Turkey 2-3 ENGLAND)

UEFA Technical Observers say: Very good build-up and switch from left to right followed by a fine piece of individual skill and a superb left-foot finish.

Christian Eriksen (Republic of Ireland 1-5 DENMARK)

UEFA Technical Observers say: A clever flicked finish to a swift team attack.

Ricardinho (PORTUGAL 4-1 Romania)
UEFA Futsal EURO group stage, 31/01/18

UEFA Technical Observers say: An excellent one-touch turn and an even better rabona finish.

Ronaldo's bicycle kick was perfect, better than Bale's. But Bale's goal became the best I've ever saw in the ultimate stage, at club level.

Therefore, the fact it wasn't nominated makes this award a complete mockery already.

Im all for equality but female 'keepers are woeful. Can't take their worldys seriously.

To be fair you did start a thread on womens football so cant say you are sexist but some of the womens goals would have got past a male goalkeeper
