This is a bloke that once raised players to another level with his faith in them, he brought new confidence to players like Zanetti, Lampard, Terry, Cech, Arbeloa, etc. Now he makes them worse, they look like they don't know what to do, he looks like he doesn't know what to do. Not that I'm excusing Mourinho's flaws but I totally agree and like we said earlier it's a symptom of what the club has decided to represent more than (but not instead of) Mourinho's mis-steps in the transfer market. When he took over at Chelsea he formed a strong bond with the players and had them believing they could win things and they did... you just don't get the impression that he is anywhere close to that with these players... I think he likes to make his players feel like underdogs but it's a tired strategy now and difficult to implement with players with the "galatico" stamp. I think we have reached a breaking point, i guess it would be surprising if we make a change, but Mourinho out Carrick in charge at Burnley and Zidane in after the International break is a possibility. I can't believe that it's solely Mourinho's doing in the transfer window. I read that statement a few weeks ago about how they effectively refused to sign who he wanted purely because of the track record under him and you have to question if that's the case, why on earth have they kept him on? In my eyes if you appoint a manager, any manager, you've got to do everything as a club to ensure he will perform, give him that platform, go all out for what he wants within reason. What message does that send out to everyone? That just seems like prolonging the inevitable to me. I wonder what all of those calling Spurs in crisis for not signing anyone will say now after watching them tonight. Very dodgy first half but second they were terrific. No signings is better than pissing money away on crap players for the sake of saying you've signed someone. I did say that I was surprised that there wasn't a single player on the market that could've improved them but the whole thing was blown out of proportion, as if it's a crime against Sky Sports and their cringeworthy hype machine. Spurs finished below them, Spurs have a smaller wage bill, and Spurs didn't sign anyone. Yet United were battered 0-3 at home. There are three things certain in life. Death. Taxes. The only thing I would say is that if they do well in all competitions as the season goes on will they have enough depth to cover for injuries/ tiredness etc.. that's when a lack of new signings might become more relevant...
