He had a very decent loan spell at this level with Norwich last season and a number of clubs were after him. He gives us another option in central midfield and competition for Evans and Smallwood. I know some Saints fans would have liked to see him given a chance in their first team this season but he should get decent game time with us to develop his career. Farke basically said we were trying to get him earlier in the transfer window but Hughes wanted to have a look at him in pre-season first so we went elsewhere. Good signing.
