Souness makes a point of Mane kicking out at Fernandinho when they had a coming together. Then says it should only be a yellow when, by the laws of the game, it would actually be a red? Just because Fernandinho didn't make a meal of it doesn't make it any less intentional...

An occasion for common sense. Fernandinho could equally have seen red for raising his hand to Manes face in retaliation. Give them both a yellow card and move on.

For all the talk of attacking and the new centre-back partnerships for both sides, it's actually the defences that have come out on top so far. The creative players haven't had time on the ball to showcase their talents. Lovren just made a brilliant tackle on Jesus.

I didn't even notice he took it off Jesus, as well. No idea how Mahrez has pulled rank there. Really weird he was able to waltz in and overpower Jesus for it.
