ARTHUR

The greatest piece of business done at club level when considering the particular requirements of a team ever!

Barcelona have always relied on their organic growth of this type of player throughout history and nobody ever thought that a player of this nature could ever come from outside La Masia.  But it happened and the signing not only so necessary, but excellently executed!  Who needs marketing purchases when you can bring in such brilliance!

€40m (almost £36m) in today's market is a COUP!

Very talented midfielder and a very good looking stud. :x

He is a good looking young man isn't he" xD

Yesterday would've scared most players for the first time participating in El Clásico because of all the pressure surrounding it. But more so in this case because of how fundamental that particular position is when considering how Barça function.  He has been absolutely astounding during this period of high profile games with such importance.

"One YouTube comment sums it up perfectly: "I've come from the future Julen. Things don't work out well for you."

The message lies beneath a 16 May interview on popular Spanish chat show La Resistencia, in which Julen Lopetegui is feted for his impressive work in charge of a Spain team that, back then, was about to light up the World Cup.

Today he is the Real Madrid boss, but most likely for not much longer. After Sunday's humiliating 5-1 defeat by Barcelona, Lopetegui appears set to be sacked for the second time in four months.

Let's not forget that Real never even remotely tried to fill the void that Ronaldo left. We are talking about one of the greatest goal scorers of all time, and you replace him with Mariano? A player who comes off the bench?

Still think Real are long overdue a massive spending spree, and no better manager than Conte to bring in a new identity.

Cant blame Lopetegui totally... its not his fault benzema cant score open headers or hit the target when there was no defender on him... Bale and Modric has gone totally anonymous..

Bale has been the most identified as the worst player during El Clásico from a Real Madrid perspective. But terrible performances from Sergio Ramos, Modrić, Kroos and Casemiro have also been leading press articles since it occurred in the Madrid based press.

On the Karim Benzemá point, everyone knows how limited he has become in front of goal for some time now.
