Los Angeles Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ruled out a loan move to a European club in January.

Ibrahimovic has just completed his first season in Major League Soccer, scoring 22 goals in 27 games for the Galaxy.

The 37-year-old Swedish star has a contract through 2019 and says he has no interest in following in the footsteps of players like David Beckham (LA Galaxy to AC Milan in 2009, 2010), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy to Everton in 2010 and 2012), Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy to Aston Villa in 2012) and Jermain Defoe (Toronto FC to Tottenham in 2014) by pursuing a short-term loan during the MLS offseason.

"If I belong to Galaxy, I am a Galaxy player," Ibrahimovic said. "I don't go abroad and do these things - loan and this... I don't need that.

"I mean if I belong to one club, I stay in one club. I focus on that club and I give all my attention to that club, so that is not in my mind."

Rossoneri are completely out of their mind if they try bring Zlatan back. Zlatan should not be willing to return either...  do I have to remind everyone how Ibra was manipulated during his last days in Milan? Galliani has been stating that Ibra is a god and we won't let god abandon us but at the same time he was dealing with Mino Raiola and PSG for the big move.

Manchester United though?

Maybe in a coaching role as I think that was mentioned before he left for LA Galaxy as he got on quite well with the staff and the young players, playing again for United though I can't see that happening.

Manchester United are reportedly looking to offer striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new deal with a view to a coaching role in the future.

The Rossoneri have dismissed speculation linking them with the Swedish maestro but they are on the hunt for other targets

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be returning to  AC Milan during the January transfer window, according to the Serie A club's sporting director Leonardo.

The 37-year-old striker has just finished a successful individual campaign with the  LA Galaxy, scoring 22 goals in 27 matches, and is now available to join other clubs on loan until the  MLS  resumes in early March.

But Leonardo revealed Ibrahimovic was set to remain with the Galaxy, who finished just outside the MLS playoff positions in 2018.

Marseille are looking at two Spain full-backs - Arsenal's Nacho Monreal, 32, and Liverpool's Alberto Moreno, 26 - as the French side look to strengthen their squad in January. (France Football - in French)

Bounedjah, Monreal, Moreno...

@Stan or whoever, I went and posted this in the Zlatan transfer thread instead of a new thread, I can't delete and start again so could you do the business if possible and make this a separate thread if need be? :ay:

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is considering hijacking AC Milan's attempt to re-sign veteran Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 38, and bring him to north London. (Telegraph)

9_9  Looks like that from the Telegraph was bull shit then. xD

Jose Mourinho says signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Tottenham "doesn't make sense" because he has the "best striker in England" in Harry Kane.

Ibrahimovic, who played for Mourinho at Inter Milan and Manchester United, is available after his two-year spell at LA Galaxy ended.

The new Tottenham manager said he has "more than a connection" with the former Sweden forward.

But he said: "Amazing player, amazing guy, but I would say no chance." (BBC)
