Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted November 8, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted November 8, 2018 FA Cup first round: Haringey Borough eye AFC Wimbledon giant-killing By Neil Johnston BBC Sport 8 November | FA Cup FA Cup first round: Haringey Borough v AFC Wimbledon Venue: Coles Park, Tottenham Date: Friday 9 November Kick-off: 19:55 GMT Coverage: Live on BBC Two, the BBC Sport website and app, live text commentary on the BBC Sport website They are one of only a few clubs in the top seven tiers of English football to hand out free season tickets, they have a midfielder who has played against Luka Modric, and five years ago they attracted a crowd of just 17 (seventeen) to a league match. On Friday, Haringey Borough will host a club record crowd of around 2,500 as the non-league team look to spring an FA Cup first-round shock by knocking out AFC Wimbledon, who play four leagues above them, in a match to be shown live on BBC Two. Located on White Hart Lane, just over a mile from where Tottenham's booming 62,000-seater stadium is taking shape, Borough's Coles Park ground has a main stand with 270 seats. The only team surviving from August's preliminary round, Haringey have already created club history by reaching this stage for the first time. Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted November 9, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted November 9, 2018 I will keep a lookout for the Southend United v Crawley game as I worked in Southend-on-Sea for a number of years before we moved back to Scotland, our son & daughter then wee nippers went to primary/high school & college there and we lived right behind the Southend stadium called Roots Hall. Bluebird Hewitt
Didn't realise the Haringey match was on BBC Two. Checked Sky and BBC Two Wales had some Cardiff Blues shite. The other regions had the match. The Met beating Newport would be good.

I went to watch Cambridge in September and thought they were crap then, got the impression their fans aren't particularly happy. Dread to think how they'll react to this that's an embarrassment. Chorley down to 10 with 15 left, can see Doncaster going through there sadly.

Administrator Stan Posted November 11, 2018 Author Administrator Share Posted November 11, 2018 Cambridge pull it back to 4-3 but too little, too late for them. Salford hold Shrewsbury away from home. Chorley hold on with 10-men to take their tie with Doncaster to a replay.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 11, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted November 11, 2018 Cambridge fans fuming on Twitter after that. Bottom half of League 2 with a few rounds of the FA Cup the best chance to make something of the season, draw a non-league side and go down like that. Pretty embarrassing.
