Honey Honey
They've coloured in black and white footage of the first world war and made it into a film. Showing on Sunday for 1 night only. Should be powerful stuff.
LFCMike
Watched this earlier. Brilliant documentary but some of the footage is heartbreaking
Honey Honey
Yep definitely worth a watch. Will alter or move some of your perceptions of the war. I thought it was particularly sad that they came back and the public didn't really know what they had been through or have much respect for them. On a side note how bad were people's teeth in those days!

Strange that the mentality of heading off to war was seen as some jolly boys outing initially... The whole attitude toward it was one of adventurous excitement and so many of them so young... heartbreaking to think how many never came home and all those families that lost people on both sides... Even through it some of the people they used thought that. Front line hell, off the front line a camping holiday with the lads.
