Was very good for literally three seasons but is somehow regarded as some world class all time great by people who don't know who Denis Irwin is. I genuinely think that in his last few seasons at the club he was one of the very worst players we have ever had. An absolute liability and after that 4-4 draw with Everton which cost us the title ultimately he was at fault for virtually every goal. Runs forward and jogs back. Now I really hate the way that he claims to be some kind of legend at the club when, I stress again, he had three decent seasons.
