1-1 Decent game, Gayle equalised. Barnes made it, really good player. Expecting WBA to win this and I hope we see Sir Hoolahan in the second half.

Merged, there are matchday chat sections for most leagues @CaaC - John :). Great input though, really liking these goal updates as it means I can track the goings on straight through the forum ^_^!

Really enjoyable game. The hand of Rod punching the ball in lol. Good result for us...

El Ghazi was fucking quality.

I felt we were poor and not as clinical as we can be. The sooner Nyland fucks off the better, Tom Heaton in Jan and that fucker off back to the Norwegian first division where he belongs.

Still reckon we’ll get automatic promotion, not scared of any team in this league and it’s early days

Yet again the level of officiating in this league goes the extra mile to prove how shite it is

Sky Sports on twitter not showing the goal yet so I would imagine it would be something to do with this?

FT: West Brom 2-2 Aston Villa

That controversial late Jay Rodriguez goal keeps Villa out of the play-off zone.

Yeah was handball, only have ourselves to blame for not taking chances.

Yeah despite the handball Nykand didn’t cover himself in glory to say the least.

The fume over that goal being allowed to stand is really weird. It was clearly an accidental handball, and that's not an offence.

It's unlucky for Villa, but you're kidding yourself if you think it should've been disallowed.

Would have been happy with a Villa win here, not really into Ideal Boilers FC.

VAR would have seen that easily, need to get it into the smaller leagues. The handball on the floor is totally accidental, not as if he's swung at it.

He’s half swiped at it because  it’s going wide without it.

Its irrelevant anyway, we’ve been to West Brom, Boro, Derby and had Blues and come away with 10 points and clearly the better team. We’re going to smash this second half of the season under Smith.

I think it was accidental, at least he admitted to the handball after the game. :ay:

Really tough game away at Boro today - I'd take a point now, but we have nothing to lose to hopefully we just give it a good go. Boro will dominate us physically as we are quite a small team apart from our defenders, but I'd hoping we can do what we did away at Stoke and WBA and surprise them on the break through Back, Armstrong and Graham. I'm hoping Downing and Conway get another start in the team after MOTM performances against Sheffield Wednesday.

RED CARD - Mo Besic, 21mins (Middlesbrough) @Cannabis @RandoEFC - was he sold to Boro or only on loan?

On loan but I think they are going to make an offer as he was there last year too. Absolutely love Mo, would have been a big part of Koeman's Everton team but got injured in Rooney's testimonial which left him crocked for the rest of that season.

Never scared to put in a challenge (hence why he's been sent off) but a top player.

Yeah, he struck me as a second-rate Xhaka in that he loves a tackle but not always lives by the rules...
