F.C. Internazionale Milano, commonly referred to as Internazionale or simply Inter and colloquially known as Inter Milan outside of Italy, is a professional Italian football club based in Milan, Lombardy. The club have played continuously in the top tier of the Italian football league system since its debut in 1909.

Inter have won 30 domestic trophies as well as local rivals AC Milan,  including 18 league titles, 7 Coppa Italia and 5 Supercoppa Italiana. From 2006 to 2010, the club won five successive league titles, equalling the all-time record. They have won the Champions League three times: two back-to-back in 1964 and 1965 and then another in 2010. Their latest win completed an unprecedented Italian seasonal treble, with Inter winning the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto the same year. The club has also won three UEFA Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Inter's home games are played at the San Siro stadium (cap. 80,018), also known as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Shared with rivals A.C. Milan, the stadium is the largest in Italian football. The local team A.C. Milan are considered among their biggest rivals, and matches between the two teams, known as the Derby della Madonnina, are one of the most followed derbies in football. As of 2010, Inter is the second-most supported team in Italy, and the sixth most-supported team in Europe. The club is one of the most valuable in Italian and world football. It was a founding member of the now-defunct G-14 group of Europe's leading football clubs.

Can Pioli save his job?

After four games without a win, including blowing a two-goal lead against Milan, Inter Coach Stefano Pioli is under pressure.

The Nerazzurri have slipped to seventh-place in Serie A, meaning that if the season ended now they would miss out on Europe altogether.

Having signed an 18-month contract when replacing Frank de Boer, the former Lazio boss doesn’t exactly have job security, but he could still retain his place on the bench for next season.

Corriere dello Sport is reporting this morning that Pioli is convinced his side will react against Fiorentina on Saturday, and that they can take 15 points from the final six games.

That would leave the Beneamata on 71 points, which has been good enough for at least fourth-place every season since Serie A became 20 teams.

It would also be four more points than Inter accrued in the whole of last season, which given De Boer’s inept reign may be enough to see Pioli stay on.

In addition, the dearth of available candidates could also see the Coach given a stay of execution.

Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone has made no secret of his desire to sit on the Nerazzurri bench one day, but it appears he won’t leave this summer.

Links to Antonio Conte have been shrugged off by the Chelsea manager, while Luciano Spalletti may yet stay at Roma.

It has been reported that Suning Group, who own Inter, could even offer Pioli the job at Jiangsu Suning if they decide to make a change at San Siro, though Fiorentina may also be an option.

And this is an easy answer.

No. He's done. If he gets Inter in the Europa League doesn't matter, He blew the derby, and wasn't able to focus on beating Crotone, so he needs to be gone. Bring on Simone, and pay the man whatever he wants.

How is Gary Medal still managing to get game time for Inter? Especially playing in defence.

I have no idea. This team has so barring on the what the Inter of old used to have. To compare these guys to the days of Zanettia, Lucio, Samuel, Cordoba, Materazzi, Maicon, and more, it just absolutely depressing.

Out of the current squad, who would you build around and who would be the first to leave?

Gagliardini, Icardi, and Handovic would have to be the core. I'd imagine Perisic, Mario, and Candreva will also be important players.

Icardi captaincy in the balance?

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Mauro Icardi's captaincy is one of a number of issues up for discussion at Inter.

Nerazzurri President Zhang Jindong is said to be furious at the club's nightmare recent run of form, which has seen Stefano Pioli's team go winless in seven matches and pick up just two points during that time.

Following Sunday's defeat to struggling Genoa, the San Siro side lie seventh in Serie A and are in serious danger of missing out on Europa League qualification.

According to the Italian sports daily, Jindong has now issued a warning to the entire Inter squad that their futures will be up for discussion at the end of the season.

While Argentine Icardi has enjoyed another fine campaign on a personal level, netting 24 goals and claiming eight assists, it is claimed that the Nerazzurri hierarchy are unconvinced by his leadership qualities during difficult moments.

The Inter squad have three more matches to convince the Suning Group that they have a future at San Siro, with games against Sassuolo and Lazio followed by a final day meeting with Udinese.

Both of the Milan clubs need either more funds (even though Inter spent a lot this season) either they need to buy good enough players to return to the glory paths. The Chinese could prove to be a success or the teams just continue in the same manner like the previous years. It is quite hard to be on top and fall down and remain there for a few years, the club losses credit and it is harder to lure high level players to mediocrity. It would be good to see them both in Europe in some near future, it could prove to be a big summer for both teams.

Inter is about to clean house.

After a torrid season, Suning are to rely on a handful of players going forward. Samir Handanovic, Gary Medel, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Roberto Gagliardini, Andrea Pinamonti.

Gazzetta dello Sport detail that Inter will have a revolution across all departments in the summer and it will see a multitude of exits through the San Siro doors. Juan Pablo Carrizo, Davide Santon, Yuto Nagatomo, Eloge Yao, Trent Sainsbury, Jonathan Biabiany and Rodrigo Palacio will all depart in the summer. In recent days, Paris Saint Germain have shown a strong interest in Inter’s Ivan Perisic and if they are to cough up 50 to 60 million euros for him, Inter would allow him to leave. Jeison Murillo also wishes to leave the Nerazzurri having become a scapegoat for a lot of Inter’s current problems.

Geoffrey Kondogbia and Antonio Candreva are likely, although not certain to remain but if a good offer comes in for them, they will be off. Eder may also seek a move away in favour of regular first team football. Ever Banega’s future is also up in the air but if an offer comes, he will likely go too. Gabriel Barbosa will be sent out on loan over the summer in order to continue his development elsewhere.

Finally, Inter captain Mauro Icardi is not safe. Despite being Inter’s top goal scorer for the past few seasons, upon taking the captaincy he hasn’t been recognised in the dressing room. His 110 million euro release clause makes his sale difficult but that lasts only until mid July.

This is outrage. we have to find who are trying to eradicate Inter and kill them before they kill us.

I miss those days with Massimo. Now we have a bunch of Chinese who don't know shit about football.

It was much nicer having an Italian that didn't know shit about football.

Inter have had some stinkers the last few years. Design wise they were fine but Inter aren't navy and black! or pinstripes! 67b254fbb7d0dbdedeb949a76498dd92.jpg

not keen on that but there's not really much you can do with a blue/black vertical striped kit. guess they're just trying to be different.
