Barton completely underestimated how physical the Scottish game is. He thought he could stroll it and he got walked all over.

Defoe only scored in 2 of his last 16 games for Sunderland. Everyone went yeah but that's Sunderland. He went to Bournemouth and only scored in 2 of 11 starts last season. Proving to be not good enough to start.

This could go either way but if the financials are right might be worth a punt.

Think he'll be a good signing for Rangers. He only has to be a backup for Morelos, although with his disciplinary record that might be a lot of games.

He joins at a good time, with at least two weeks until their next game, he can almost have a mini preseason in preparation.

Yeah but to be fair he kept them up the season before I think

Defoe has always been class to be fair, arguably could have still played for Bournemouth this season. 

He gets my full respect for the time he spent with young terminally ill Bradley Lowery and sent a message out when the young lad passed away.
