Hearing a lot on the radio today about Meghan and Harry suing the Mail on Sunday. Good on them especially after what happened to Princess Diana. The press need to calm down a bit before something similar to that incident happens again!

So uh... Bill Gates hung around Epstein a lot, it turns out. After his conviction too, so while he was a known sex pest. And he set up a charity where Epstein was the beneficiary.

Sad to say, the circumstantial evidence points to Bill Gates being a pedo

San Francisco is far down my list of places I want to visit, especially now that one of the main problems is handling all the human waste of all the homeless liberals.

Oh I hadn't seen this til just now - so sorry for bringing discussion back to something you said a month ago @Teso dos Bichos, but the homeless problem in California is a super tough issue to face.

And it's not just California's fault that the big cities are flooded with homeless people. We've got to deal with people from shittier states sending their homeless people to California because they don't want to deal with them: https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Nevada-Settles-Homeless-Dumping-Lawsuit-369736411.html

California's got the economy to provide a better social safety net for the extremely poor, so other states feel like it's okay to dump homeless people in California. But what they're doing is creating an unfair burden on California, when really they should be looking at what makes states like California (and New York... and even Texas, so there's a red state model for the red states as well) have strong economies so they can better provide for themselves.

It's a ridiculous situation these other states have created for themselves. California pays in more money to the IRS than any other state - they also invest heavily in themselves with their own taxes. This gives the state the ability and resources to provide better services than other states. Meanwhile states that put in far less money to the federal government than they take out from the federal government. They don't invest in themselves, they just want to let the wealthy of their state get richer while the state overall struggles... and then they pass off their homeless problems from their crumbling economy onto California.

And then they have the fucking nerve to complain about the homeless problem in California that they've exacerbated. There's a rising hatred in California for these states that don't invest in themselves, take out more money than they put into the IRS per year, and try to shift their problems to California.

And it's just getting worse - and it's also dangerous as fuck for these poor people they're dumping onto our streets. A few years ago, basically right after the homeless population had a massive explosion, there was a serial killer here in San Diego. He was hammering a railroad spike through homeless people's heads... then lighting their bodies on fire. One of the murders was actually a block from my condo and I remember hearing the police and firefighters come at 3AM so I went outside for a cigarette and to see what was going on. Don't think I'll ever forget that night.

And it's also dangerous for the people just trying to live. San Diego, LA, and San Francisco all had hepatitis outbreaks because of the recent homeless population explosion. I think it was Georgia that released a serial rapist from prison and then bussed him to San Diego... where he then raped some young woman at a trolley stop.

This rising tide of resentment towards the rest of the country is growing pretty rapidly here, and I don't see it changing unless these other states start pulling their weight more. But I also don't see those states ever really pulling their weight. It's an interesting dynamic - but it's probably not great for the USA as a whole.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THE BEST NEWS STORY I HAVE SEEN ALL YEAR

This sounds like a comedy film. One that I would watch and probably enjoy

That is superb. Definitely a film. To be made out of that.

39 people found dead in a shipping container in a lorry in Essex. Wtf

Utterly horrific. One of the largest peace times death counts in British history. Sounds to me like criminal gangs involved but let's wait and see.

Never get your car cleaned by those £3.00 places at the side of the road. Known slave runners who traffic people.

I imagine most human trafficking is done by criminal gangs, but I don't really know anything about human trafficking... so it's just an assumption I'm making based on the fact it's illegal and seems organised - so it looks like organised crime.

I thought it was strange initially that the driver was named and his picture shown but I’ve since learnt the container was registered in Romania/Bulgaria and was registered to a woman with an Irish address. That’s very fishy.

I get why he’s stopped. It’s 1.30am and he’d have to stick to his tacograph but why would you open the carriage?

Man this law in Spain is fucked up if you can't call it rape because the girl is in an unconscious state (!)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-50257922

Quote

A court in Barcelona has acquitted five men accused of gang-raping a 14 year old girl of the charge of sexual assault.

The men were convicted and jailed for the lesser crime of sexual abuse.

Under Spanish law, an offence can only be considered rape or sexual assault if physical force or intimidation is used.

The court ruled they had not committed rape because the victim was in an "unconscious state" and they did not need to use violence.

The decision comes despite Spain's Supreme Court reversing a similar ruling earlier this year.

There is also an ongoing review into the law.

Six defendants were initially charged. The five who were convicted were sentenced to between 10 and 12 years in prison.

A more serious conviction of sexual assault would have carried prison sentences of between 15 and 20 years.

Women's rights groups have reacted to the ruling with anger and dismay.

Warning: Some readers may find details of this story disturbing

The men were found guilty of abusing the girl during a drinking session known in Spanish as a botellón at a disused factory in Manresa, a town in the north-eastern region of Catalonia, in October 2016.

The case became known as the "Manada de Manresa" - Manresa Wolf Pack - for its similarities to another 2016 gang attack on a teenager which prompted widespread protests and an ongoing review of Spain's rape laws.

What happened in this case?

Prosecutors told the court the men took turns to attack the girl, who was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

One of the defendants, named only as Bryan Andrés M, was said to have told each of them: "It's your turn. Fifteen minutes each and no delay."

At a previous court hearing, the girl said she remembered very little of what happened but that one of the men had been brandishing a gun.

All the defendants denied the allegations, although the DNA of one of them was found on the girl's underwear.

The court ruled that the victim did "not know what she was and wasn't doing, and consequently, did not have the ability to agree to or oppose the sexual relations most of the defendants had with her", El Pais reported.

It added that the defendants "were able to commit sexual acts without using any type of violence or intimidation".

The court awarded the victim €12,000 (£10,300) damages for an attack it described as "extremely severe and especially denigrating".

What happened in original 'wolf pack' case?

A court in Navarra jailed five men for sexual abuse for a gang attack in Pamplona on an 18-year-old woman who was dragged into the hallway of a residential building.

As she appeared "passive or neutral", according to a police report, the court decided no intimidation or violence had taken place.

In June, the Spanish Supreme Court overturned that ruling, deciding it was sexual assault and that the men were rapists. The five saw their sentences of nine years increased to 15.

Spain's prime minister last year appointed a panel to review the rape laws.

I don't get how the current law states it can only be considered rape/sexual assault if physical force is used but then the case describes how she was attacked by various people one by one, and that the defendants were able to commit the acts 'without using any type of violence or intimidation'.

Which I feel like is something I said recently in this thread regarding that kid who was murdered at her 3rd birthday party... which, btw @Teso dos Bichos have there been updates on that? Because that's one of the more horrific crime stories I've seen this year.

They had the couple involved in jail even before they found the body thanks to children at the party who saw the SUV and surveillance footage from a near store.. the guy was given child pornography charges prior to the capital murder... he will get the death penalty for sure especially given how much attention it got around the state. He will be lucky to make it to the death sentence day.
