6666 858 Posted January 31, 2019 All I want to see is that Tottenham ballboy from the Watford game get a ball kicked right into his face. Hopefully giving him a concussion.

Difference being the Watford players are actually involved in the game. If the Tottenham players had decides to time waste in the end to give Watford a taste of their own medicine then fair enough. If after the game they wanted to talk shit about Watford time wasting then fair enough as well but the ballboys are just there to throw the ball back. They just come across as knobheads when they start acting smug after getting involved. Hazard kicking that Swansea ballboy is still a great moment. Knowing Pochettino, he probably loves and encourages all these dodgy "tricks".

I will agree with you that ballboys have just one job, get the ball back on the pitch with no delay so when it comes to players asking and them not obliging I don't get that ever. Just glad it didn't turn into the Hazard incident even if the ballboy was in the wrong that day.

Eco 2,119 Posted February 2, 2019 I woke up happier today about the EPL than I ever have. C'mon Newcastle, absolutely batter the Spurs.
Eco 2,119 Posted February 2, 2019 0-0 at halftime. Spurs are not-surprisingly dominating the run of play, and have missed a couple of sitters, otherwise they'd be up by 2 at least.
RandoEFC 4,835 Posted February 2, 2019 Could do with Llorente at CF. Newcastle are very stubborn and have shown enough with their occasional forays forward that a 1-0 away win doesn't look out of the question.
RandoEFC 4,835 Posted February 2, 2019 Son finally breaks the deadlock. Underneath Dubravka who will probably be fuming at that. Heartbreaker for Newcastle.
Stan 10,977 Posted February 2, 2019 Oh that is terrible from Dubravka. Usually so reliable but that is poor.

Storts 1,940 Posted February 2, 2019 Couldn’t have been a more deserving winner that, love it when we snatch late goals against teams that have come and made no attempt to play football. Favourite thing, three league games in a row we’ve done this

Thought so too. Played alright. Could have knicked it 1-0 on another day. Perez had 3 good chances and Rondon is inches away. Spurs best chances fell to square heeds so we stayed in the game a long time. On another note, good example of why players aren't allowed to run up to opposition fans in celebration. Ref did a poor job there. Not sure why Son felt the need to run all the way to the corner where we were. Then Trippier and Winks were clenching their fists at Newcastle fans. It created an anger and several minutes where stewards lost control as a small number of both sets of fans were getting a bit carried away having a go at each other until the heavy's were brought in. All stemming from Son's decision to run at the Newcastle fans.
Rick 1,375 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Newcastle should have went for Batshuayi. I'm sure he would have went there over Palace. I do rate Rondon, but he doesn't score enough and needs help, which he doesn't get enough of from Perez & Atsu.

A lot of double standards from refs on this one too, look at the most recent NLD for an example
Kyletoonfan 24 Posted February 4, 2019 I was pleased with how Newcastle played we defended superbly throughout though at times we rode our luck as is going to happen when you play a top team. Tottenham were patient and Llorente was crucial when they brought him on they needed a target man for this game. Son was a threat throughout it was a good shot for his goal though obviously Dubravka should have saved it I won't be critical on him he's helped win us lots of points since he joined us. Spurs are firmly in this title race going into Liverpool's game on Monday they have the same amount of wins as them all credit to Tottenham 3 wins with late goals in all of them still minus Kane and Ali. If you had of said to us Newcastle fans you will get 3 points and break your transfer record with the signing of Almiron of course we would have took it and been delighted with that Wolves away on Monday night is tough but winnable but after that we have Burnley and Huddersfield at home we have got to target 6 points there I do think with the squad and rafa in charge we will have enough to stay up. As I say about Spurs it is a 3 horse race they are firmly in the title race.
