Bournemouth have been really, really bad.

Yeah they beat Chelsea and that's all well and good for them, perhaps Chelsea played in to their hands. But this is not a performance from a side you expect to just be more entertaining and carry a bigger threat to their opposition.

Not to take anything away from Cardiff. Typically well organised, physical and more clinical when called upon. Hallmarks of Neil Warnock's teams. On current showing, they good for the 3 points.

It has to be a mental thing with players, when they played us they raised their game but it's possible that they have seen where Cardiff are and thought that the game would be an easy one.. Chelsea do the same sometimes.. play out of their skins against the likes of City then fold really badly against sides we should in theory beat..

Palace beat Man City away then draw to us at home.

Leicester beat Chelsea away, beat Man City at home then lose to us at home.

Bournemouth twat Chelsea at home then lose to us away.

You seriously can't make this up. xD

Given the circumstances of the match (our first at home since the Sala tragedy) and playing against a team that breezed passed Chelsea less than a week ago, I thought that was one of our best games so far this season. Bournemouth had plenty of the ball (not hard really), but other than the shot that Etheridge tipped onto the bar and Ake's header wide, we limited Bournemouth to practically nothing.

Reid had a very good game today and just having Niasse there finally gives us a better outlet (for all he's done, paterson is not a striker). I will say that Bamba was treading on very thin ice today as he was booked and had a couple of fouls afterwards which the ref gave him a word about.

Big game next week now. Away to Southampton.
