Eco
Quote Source: Florentin Pogba close to signing with Atlanta United Guinea international defender Florentin Pogba is on the verge of signing with reigning MLS Cup champions Atlanta United, a league source has confirmed to ESPN FC. French publication L'Equipe was the first to link Pogba with Atlanta. Pogba, the brother of French international and Manchester United star Paul Pogba, has spent the bulk of his career in France with Sedan and St Etienne. He was most recently on the books of Turkish side Genclerbirligi S.K., but his contract was not renewed at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season, a campaign that ended with the club being relegated. He was recently on trial with Spanish side Elche. Pogba was a France youth international, but eventually pledged his international future to the country of his birth. He has since made 21 appearances for Guinea. Honestly didn't know the famous Paul Pobga has a brother, but we do need defenders, and he looks rather bulky which is definitely something of a player we don't have. Eco
On the Atlanta United forums, people are suggesting this move is so that we can 'lure' Paul over in the summer.
Eco
Just now, José said: They are going to have to fight Juventus and Barcelona for him although he is happy to be at at his current elite club Juventus and Barcelona are both in a better state of affairs than United at the moment. But it would shock the world if PP gave up play in Europe in his prime to join Atlanta in the MLS.
