Nah, just being rested I think.

I would have personally started Arthur though.

Yeah he seems to be playing with a lot of confidence right now. Whether it's starting or coming off the bench. Happy for him that he's settled relatively quickly.

Messi scores! Low in to the bottom right corner. He actually scored just after Semedo was fouled with a curling shot from outside the box but ref had already blown for the foul. 1-2.

Messi, Messi, Messi.

I gather you are watching the game live buddy, I am only keeping track of it but I see Coutinho has just been replaced by Malcom, how's Coutinho played today, good, bad or so-so?

He didn't play too badly and you can see his confidence is slowly growing again, especially after his performance mid-week vs Sevilla in the cup.

2-2 was a fair result today, but I think today was a game for Valverde to start his strongest line-up and make less rotations than he did. You can see why though with El Clasico coming up in mid-week followed by a difficult away game against an improved Athletic club next weekend.

Surprised at Atletico getting beat. Perfect chance to bring the title race back to life and instead they lose even more ground.

Messi has been brilliant this season. I feel like he's influencing games more than ever.
