Friday night's game could see Sheff Utd go top of the league, albeit temporarily. Villa have hit a bit of inconsistency recently though so difficult to tell which Villa will turn up. @Fairy In Boots @DNA @S2_Blade

Six-pointer in the Championship between Rotherham and Wigan. You'd think if Wigan did win that they'd be confident of staying up. @tommy_wafc

Tough test for Leeds away at Middlesbrough but it's this kind of game you'd relish after losing against Norwich last week. And Middlesbrough could be affected by the disappointing cup loss away at Newport. @Lucas

The league's lowest scorers, Bolton, desperately need a win at home to Lancastrian rivals, Preston, who have one of the worst defences. Preston have scored more than Middlesbrough and Derby but find themselves in 18th due to their concession of goals. @StefBWFC

Amazingly, if Hull win they'd only be one point behind Derby. A sensational turnaround for the Tigers given that only 3 months ago (start of Nov), Hull were languishing in 23rd place with 15 points and Derby sat in 4th on 28 points. @Takyon @The Artful Dodger

Blackburn could also go one behind their opponents, Bristol City, should they win. A heavy loss against Brentford last time and they could be without Dack and Graham so that makes it much tougher. @BounceAroundTheGround @The Rebel CRS @roversgirl @JOSHBRFC

Obviously the biggest game is Sunday's East Anglian Derby between Norwich and Ipswich. Given the form of the 2 sides, positions in the league and recent form, everything points to a Norwich win. Big test early on for Paul Lambert. Anything less than a win for Norwich would be disappointing I'd think. @Marc @AMG

A long trip from north east to south west for Grimsby - they're 10 points behind play-offs so still have an outside chance if they pick up some form. They're 10 ahead of Yeovil who have avoiding relegation as their target so perhaps have more to play for. @Pyfish

Steve Bruce is Sheffield Wednesday manager. keep up, Stan.

The feeling ahead of a derby is always strange but I don’t like this expectation that we should win. Even if everything in the entire would points to the fact that we should hammer these useless bastards.  Lambert will get booed to shit and that will fire him up.

Some nice yellow army displays in the Barclay pre-game. 12 Ko is sooo early, it’s ridiculous.

Same team as against Leeds, please. Norwich 3-1 Ipswich.

Mario Vrancic just won player of the month.

Is @AMG actually a Norwich supporter?

I believe so. He's shown a vested interest in Norwich matches before.

Why is it always 12pm for these games?

Suffolk/Norfolk police request it. It does seem strange when the Sheffield derby for example in a few weeks is on a monday and other derby games which have more trouble than ours have been at later kick off times.

Anyway, this might be the last season for a while where we play them. :17_heart_eyes:

Because if it finishes in the evening then one of those towns will have a sudden increase in inbred births 9 months later.

It may very well be. Abraham scores to make it 3-2. Henderson with another bit of poor goalkeeping.

Amazing this as Sheffield United were practically dominant until the first Villa goal.

COMPLETED!!!

Green heads in the equaliser in injury time as O'Connell well and truly fucks his clearance. 3-3.

We've suddenly got 5/6 key players back as well as about 5 new signings all in the space of 2 weeks.

Got to play the home tactics, press high up and just go for it. Win and it could open up a 10 point gap and hopefully give us more confidence on the road, as well as poor away tactics, think it's quite psychological now. Frustrating the contrast in form, as at home I'd back us to beat anyone and it's automatic promotion worthy. Away from home and it's bottom of the league battle form.

Nah we don’t have the players for his style without Jack, Jack basically guarantees that we’re camped in the opposition half with lots of possession. Without jack it’s 50/50 and midfield is leggy

How are your fans with him?

Yeah I can’t imagine Bruce left him many players to play football with.

On the whole positive, not many are happy at present though because the results have tailed off. It’s all down to Grealish we’re massively dependant on him.
