George could drive clean and take points from Lewis. He could be eager to please and prove himself and have collisions with Lewis. Tommy 11,309
Of course he prefers Bottas as his teammate.
RandoEFC 7,199
It'll be very interesting to see whether Russell wrestles supremacy from Hamilton in that team or whether he takes on an understudy role until Hamilton retires. I really want them to go at it properly to be honest, and I hope that Russell pipping Hamilton in qualifying today is the first time he gives his probable new teammate a slightly bloody nose. I know they aren't in the same team yet (officially) but I got slight young Hamilton vs Alonso "who do you think you are" vibes from George challenging with Lewis today.

nudge 14,494
So apparently, Mercedes refused to take part in an official FIA photoshoot commemorating the constructors champions of 2021 today. Wouldn't probably be a big deal, but they didn't allow even their Formula E winning car to appear in the photograph. I hope they will not leave the sport altogether as a result of all this mess. Their relationship with FIA is understandably at an all-time low, but I hope they manage to resolve it as Mercedes leaving would be a huge blow to F1. Jeremy was making fun of him for it. But it goes to show that the 'it's just the car' argument simplifies so much of what goes being into a successful F1 driver. You have to be a good enough driver to earn a good seat in the first place, and then you need to have the foresight to actually join a team that can deliver you the car you need to fulfill your ambitions. From what I remember, it was largely Hamilton's own decision too. Just a good feeling he got after talking to Mercedes and especially Lauda. So good on him.
