Devil-Dick Willie
To elaborate slightly, 4 people shot up 2 mosques and killed about 30 people. The only identified shooter was a white boi with a chip on his shoulder continuing the 'ongoing race war' in a revenge attack.

IgnisExcubitor
This is a clear act of terrorism. Absolutely terrible incident. Apparently the Bangladeshi cricket team bus was not far from the mosque. EDIT : Test match is cancelled. Just saw the videos. Horrifying. The terrorist has named Pewdiepie in one of the videos. Instead of going after the real cause watch the idiot media ruin the Youtuber or other Conservative handles.
Azeem
Poor Pewdiepie he just got his monetization back after making a video that was allegedly anti-Semitic.
Inverted
I don't see how it's even possible to deny that right wing internet culture breeds terrorism - first incel attacks and now this. And it's a far bigger threat in first world countries than any online Islamic recruitment. Absolutely sickening, horrific scenes. The face of fascism for all the world to see. You can guarantee if it was the other way round and a Muslim shot up people in a church they'd immediately be labelled a terrorist and before you can say that, there'd already be rumours of 'Allahu akbar' being said at the time. Inverted
The NZ PM has called it terrorism to be fair. But a lot of the media is responsible for dehumanising Muslims so it's obvious they'll want to avoid saying it's terrorism, because that forces them to consider that they are instigators of terror. 6666
It's difficult to even understand how people get to that point of not just shooting and killing innocent people a few feet away from them, including kids, but also live streaming it at the same time. Absolute psychos. Saw some people sharing the videos but decided not to press play. Don't need that insanity infecting my brain.
The Artful Dodger
Seems a similar M.O to Breivik. The live streaming bit is just a symptom of our completely narcissistic, voyeuristic world we have created, wouldn't be surprised if you got companies sponsoring it. It's only going to get worse, I think within 200 years Human beings will have completely destroyed themselves.
Danny
No country is without it’s racism but New Zealand is genuinely one of the most inclusive places I’ve been to. Unfortunately Christchurch has a reputation for racism there (even if playful at times) and this will do it no good. Reports of 40 dead, horrific. Muslims around the country told not to pray at Mosque’s until further information is given.

At least one of the shooters was Australian which is absolutely the least surprising thing I've read in a while.
Harry
Whether or not this is described as terrorism will be a partisan issue in some countries like the US. Our pretty conservative PM has called it extreme right wing terrorism so at least there's no denial to feel sick about.
Administrator Stan Posted March 15, 2019 Administrator Share Posted March 15, 2019 Just seen some comments from a senator about this terrorism. Almost pretty much excuses the gunman of his actions along with some faux sympathy for those who died. Despicable comments really from someone with an element of power and authority. Inverted
Apparently these are the ideas that get you elected as an important legislator in Australia. I think New Zealand should be more worried about Australian immigrant terrorists.

Fraser Anning from Queensland? It's such a shame that in Australia you can wind up in the Senate despite receiving only 19 first preference votes. Cunts like this make the whole country look bad He's taking the opportunity to boost his profile. Welcoming a lot of hate in search of a bit of infamy and more attention amongst the most disgraceful element in Australian society.

No idea how the political system works on Australia but to almost blame the victims of the massacre for being there (in the country) in the first place is undeniably absurd.
