It never appealed to me much in the past, but the older I get, the more intrigued I am in visiting there since it's not exactly far away. Yes, there are definite legitimate concerns about the pornification of our society, children are sexualised at such a young age, it's very unnerving really. It's the instant gratification culture that we have produced from decades of pure greed and consumerism in everything else, why not sex too? One other thing, which is linked, is the seeming growth of child beauty shops, I don't know what it's like elsewhere but there seems to be an abundance of these sprouting up. Now you can just put it down to tacky, classless parents but it's much more serious, it's tantamount to child abuse and indicative of the change in how we view children. They are now viewed as accesories to our lives, extensions of ourselves that we dress up as adult to look the most 'beautiful' or 'sexy'. Alas, I see no solution. Our society is completely blinded to its nihilistic, selfish decadence and will collapse in a morass of its own avaricious need to consume absolutely everything, including the most intimate of feelings and actions.
