Subscriber nudge+ 15,325 Posted August 23, 2022 Author Subscriber Share Posted August 23, 2022 So since I was so blown away by The Sandman TV series, I've decided to give the original comic book a go, too. 8 issues in (which make up Volume 1: Preludes & Nocturnes), and I really like it. Just one thing that kinda threw me off a bit was quite a few crossovers with other DC comics characters. But those are absolutely not central to the story and I've read that they do not continue in the later issues, so that's a massive relief. The art can be a bit hit & miss sometimes, but the story is captivating, even if the first few issues are a bit weak at times. In general, it feels like it is getting better and better as it goes on though! The only thing I'm unsure about now is whether I want to continue reading past the stuff that got covered in Season 1 of the TV series...
