I don't ever recall seeing a thread like this but the other thing is that I definitely envisaged @MUFC starting it, not @Azeem.

Found out from a guy from an African country (I can't remember where) when I was doing security work and he said in his country it was an insult to use your right hand when greeting someone as that was the hand that wipes your bum, you always greet someone (shaking hands) by using your left hand.

It's the opposite here in most of SE Asia; left hand is considered unclean and so eating, greeting and handing things over to somebody is only done using your right (or both on some occasions) hand.
