Murray doing really well in this match at the minute against Kokkinakis after being 2 sets down! 4 hours 45 minutes and counting and it's still going. Michael 1,116 Posted May 20, 2023 Share Posted May 20, 2023 Watching the Rune v Ruud tennis match, absolutely high level stuff. Lots of mind games going on. Ruud won the 1st set on a tie break. Then Ruud broke Rune in the 2nd set, but Rune then called on the physio, then eventually broke back and then broke again to win the set. Shame that Ruud couldn't make it more of a contest after the first set but perhaps tiredness and Djokovic's experience had the most effect. I just hope Murray has a decent few weeks on the grass. He won a Challenger-tier event in Surbiton last week. I think he's playing Nottingham this week, presumably Queen's Club and then Wimbledon after skipping all of the clay court events. Surprisingly, he is back up in the top 50 in the world now, although he clearly isn't going to reach an elite level again. Gutted for her that she lost her game today but she's definitely one to watch for the future in the way that she commanded that first set and the majority of the second.
