Dave
That is literally what happened the year I went up with Ipswich. Something, and I don't really know what, clicked and we couldn't not win. What a man Tammy Abraham is. Always knew he was better than Jese and Raheem Sterling
Administrator Stan Posted May 10, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 10, 2017 same thing has happened this season. up to end of September, was cruising pretty much. Then won once in 8 games. so now have changed formation to 4-1-1-2-2. The only consistent is Tammy Abraham banging in the goals! I sold Patrick Roberts for the same price i got for him. Re-signed Tony Mele (wonderkid) from Utd on loan. Same as Pedro Alvaro who is a decent CB. Nips in with a few goals too. Also signed a CM from Everton called Joan Jordan. Had previously been at Espanyol. Also got on the Daniel Bentley bandwagon @Cannabis @Aaroncpfc

Administrator Stan Posted May 11, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 11, 2017 Promotion to the Premier League secured! Was a bit of a battle but after speaking to @Cannabis about team talks and changing the attitude of them, as well as changing responsibility for press conferences and taking charge of them, fortunes changed. This is 2nd half of the season: Only lost 2 in the league and bossed it, really. Obviously Abraham was the key man. Everton bossed it even more than me. They went on a winning run for ages. Beloved form guide. Stark contrast after halfway point... And now budgets for next season. Expected a bit more than £22m to be honest.

Comfortable survived. Started the season so well which protected me from the slump I had mid-season. Never really looked like getting relegated but did have to rally the team a few times in the season to keep their concentration and focus. So many players became unsettled as well (Zidane, Fijneman, Abraham, Hernandez). all had to keep them in check! Final Table: Leicester bossed it for ages but slipped up in the final few games. Man City kept up with them though. Leicester have Higuain up top Schedule: Had some great results - 1-0 away at Man City; 1-0 away at Arsenal. But also got thrashed rather too regularly!! Lost 6-1 twice against Arsenal and Villa; 5-1 against Leicester. The form guide: Transfers made for this 2022/23 season
Administrator Stan Posted May 17, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 17, 2017 also got approached by Stoke and Middlesbrough for interviews for their jobs. I applied for Arsenal and Tottenham jobs during the season as well. Chelsea just sacked their manager so have applied for that too!
Administrator Stan Posted May 18, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 18, 2017 i've had an absolute mare this season fighting relegation, even plummetted to 20th. Board gave me 5 games to get 8 points in the lead up to Christmas. Ended up getting 9. Thought I was on the up and now have lost about 5 in a row again and board have given me a month to improve position in the league. Next 4 fixtures in that month are - Burnley at home(14th), Hull at home (9th), Swansea away (15th), Fulham away (13th). And I've also had to sell Tammy Abraham to China for nearly £30m . Administrator Stan Posted May 20, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 20, 2017 eventually got sacked as Norwich boss . Now Fulham manager. 6 games left. 4 points above relegation. Challenge accepted to stay in the league on a tight budget.
Administrator Stan Posted May 23, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 23, 2017 Bit of an update... so, um, failed that challenge above . Last day of the season, I'm in 17th. Newcastle 18th. I play them at home. Lose 2-0. Get relegated. Oops. Bournemouth and Wolves also relegated. Board stick with me and it's all been going swimmingly in The Championship . Got rewarded with a huge budget of £40m. Sold that amount of players as didn't want to be burdened with loads of players on huge contracts and half of them wanted to leave anyway. Spent £60m Alejandro de Haro on loan from Utd has been sensational. And more recently, Jason Cross and Conor Thomson have impressed.
Administrator Stan Posted May 23, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 23, 2017 this is fucking insane. just smashed Stoke 8-0 in the FA Cup. What division are they in - League One? League Two? Nah. 15th in the Premier League. Amazing.

Administrator Stan Posted May 27, 2017 Author Administrator Share Posted May 27, 2017 update time! Won The Championship last season... Ourselves and Bournemouth absolutely killed it all season long. Primary objective for Premier League 2026/27 was to avoid relegation. Started off fairly well, unbeaten in first 5 games. Then went on a terrible run of 9 games without a win before a derby day showdown with West London rivals, Chelsea. Pulled a magnificent performance out the bag and was victorious 3-1. That sparked some much-needed confidence in to the side and went on to win 7 out of the next 11 games, which went some way to solidifying my mid-tabe presence. Second half of the season saw some very bizarre results. 7-0 defeat at Tottenham. Two 6-0 victories at home after that. 5-1 loss at home to Norwich. 3-2 win over Liverpool who were 3rd and a 1-0 victory at home to Leicester who were 4th at the time. Final Table: Position guide Transfer summary. Only had a net spend of about £23m so a largely successful season on that front, as well, and to finish 8th above rivals Chelsea (who had spent over £60m) is a great achievement.
