They've got a long history of developing players really well before getting them a big move to a top club - seems the perfect place for any good young player in Europe. This seems like a move being driven by Everton's director of football Marcel Brands, who will have an incredible knowledge of all the top talents coming through in his native Netherlands. Unfortunately some players of certain backgrounds, just rather chase money then stay at a club like Ajax to develop. Edgar Davids was appointment for this role to educate the young players of a certain background to stay and develop at Ajax, Cruyff was branded a racist for this even though it was the right thing to do at the time because of the history of the players leaving.
