It's actually a very good idea, if you want to compete with the best you gotta do the same that they do.

What do you say to the people that have got shit hospitals, hardly any police or refuse collection in many Italian provinces, in other words shit public services mate?

Also what do you say to those on not so much money (the great manority of Italians) that aren't getting tax relief and is only being implemented to the richest?

I can tell you what they'll say to those that support this... "Vaffanculo!!!"

Italy is just another of various countries (and growing) polluted with populism and far-right ideals. That Salvini needs to be hung in La Piazza della Repubblica. Racist bigotted shit.

I'm not saying that's is fair mate, just good for the Italian league. Salvini is not my cup of tea neither, but the thing is that if you raise taxes for the business then they will just leave and mount them somewhere else where they are lower, and then the general population will also suffer from it due to the rising unemployment rates and lack of new jobs creation and also wages will shrink as there will be more workers for fewer jobs. That's just how it is mate.

I find it a good idea in theory. I say in theory because I don´t have access to the studies of the impact of this bill.  Higher taxation doesn´t always mean higher tax revenue.

Italian clubs just can´t compete with Premier League or the Spanish Big 2, so this could give a shot in the arm for italian clubs. If it´s implemented in a rational way, with a broader plan to grow Serie A it can be really positive for the italian economy as a whole and for Italy´s soft power.

With the advance in transportation and tourism and with the great spike in international television rights there´s a lot of money to be made with sports.

You can be business friendly and offer welfare to your population. There isn´t a tradeoff between them. Brazil, for example, is a country with high taxation and terrible public services.

There´s a lot to be criticized in the italian government but not in this particular case. Offering better conditions to high-skilled workers is not populism, quite the contrary, it´s rational.

And I think I´m in good postition to say this, because I come from a country who suffers from severe brain drain.

You're talking about corporation tax there mate which is another debate. Here we're talking about lowering the rate of tax to those who earn more. So in effect saying that the working classes you take the weight on their shoulders of the running of the country.

It's the same principle, if the clubs can't match the wages offered in other leagues of comparable level because they're taxed at a substantially higher level then the best players will go to said leagues where they can get higher wages. Just as many employees would switch countries for a better wage if given the chance.

That's not true, no European country taxes as highly as Spain or France to those that earn the most and it hasn't affected football or high earners.

You and everyone should be wary and heed warning on supporting such actions made by governments. It's the wrong route, it punishes the weaker and makes that 1% richer and more powerful. It is proven that tax relief doesn't create more employment and definitely not more wealth for the working classes. I could cite you dozens of regulations that are anti-worker's rights in the countries with the highest tax relief for the richest.

At the end of the day football isn't that important. I would lament and feel sympathy for the fool that works 70+ plus hours p/w in manual labour that supports such a law implementation that in effect labels them more meaningless than ever and adds to the fact that those in power think they're stupid and proved by the fact they make them support being poorer.

Didnt Spain try this with the players images rights and now all the players have been found guilty of Tax fraud who put their money in to a scheme,  I am sure the corrupt Italian Government will be doing the same in a number of years time.

Indeed... Again a right-wing government in the shape of PP (Partido Popular) in Spain.

Boris Johnson is announcing the same thing if he wins the leadership of the Conservative Party (which he will) here in the UK. Tax releif for the high earners when we have thr NHS on its knees with nurses and doctors underpaid and overworked where they their personal conviction and vocation even takes them to work hours for free. Police numbers cut under the "Austerity" badge by 10s of thousands and subsequently overworked with pay cut and frozen for years... the results, rising crime rates.

All this and they announce collecting less taxes from those that can pay more?

This isn't a socialist ideal, this is taking care of your nation and its vital services. Everyone contributes in relation to how much they earn and that's the way it should be.

Now, unless someone here is extremely wealthy (emphasis on "extremely") and finds themselves in that 1% of the population, then I have no idea how one can be so innocent to support these seemingly meaningless small actions that in effect mark a direct and future route to the inevitable.

Didn't it say in the video that the law was essentially a copy of the Beckham Law first sanctioned in Spain in 2005?, it did also said it was amended in 2010, but still people who apply apparently pay 19,5% in taxes against a maximum of 45% in the country for those that don't. I beg to differ. Look at Ireland. There are many people who would be discouraged to start a business (and thus create jobs) if tax was 50% instead of 15% for example, myself included.

They have a strange tax fund in the Netherlands which is run like a charity, Ikea took advantage of it when the company fell in to Dutch hands, now there are so many head officers in the Netherlands from huge companies from around the world that are moving there now.
