Three matches into 2020, and Aberdeen have been woeful in each of them. The league position is only helped by other 'big' teams being particularly poor so far this season, but it has been a significant drop off in quality from previous years.

The decline of the squad hasn't been addressed, with keys players having left for next to nothing and others have been kept on past their prime.

If nothing else, whilst Greg Leigh is out, the full backs have been woeful and restrict any ambitions the club have for this season and finishing with a cup run and a European spot.

Hamilton lead Celtic 1-0 with a thumping header.

All changed now with the Accies down to 10 men and the Hoops winning 1-4, Gerrard, cry your eyes out and go kick the living daylights out of your Ger players.

Seems to be bit of discontent about Gerrard creeping in now. Tactically inept?

That’s totally stupid that people are on his back, if true.

Their first game of the season was 9th July, they’ve now played 45 games this season, that’s encapsulated travel across Europe, route to a domestic Final and setting up a QF in the other domestic cup. I don’t know what their squad is like or how many injuries they’ve had but they’re on course for roughly 60 games this season, fatigue is going to have some effect somewhere.

I’m not sure how it’s going to work but this third European tournament needs to be a way of replacing some qualifiers, as 45 games by mid-Feb is ridiculous.

The Rangers fans also really need to realise that Celtic are lightyears ahead of them. Yeah, I know they got within a point or two of them at one point or another but they’re not in the same league financially anymore. Those four or five years away from the top table of Scottish Football and more importantly, European Football, meant Celtic accumulated four or five years worth of European money, which is going to further add to the disparity between the clubs.

Just asking the question, thought a bit of chat about your club would be welcome. Never mind.

There's a lot more going on at Rangers than the man in charge.

The only time you talk about Rangers is when we lose and you always say it's Gerrard's fault. It's never anything to do with the fact that one of our best players and top goal scorers has been in the news almost every single day regarding racism, people targeting his cars. Or the fact our season started on the 9th of July and we've played 48 games already this season and injuries are starting to happen and we're without key players like Barasic and Defoe.

You're not interested in a chat about my club. You're only interested in your obsession with Gerrard, and it's boring.

I post at prescient times in the season, after a very impressive win over Celtic it looked like things were heading up. Now it looks like the title is very far away again, Gerrard is coming in for some criticism, if you disagree with it that's fine.

Be interesting to see how he goes from here, a good run in the Europa or triumph in the Cup could allay any serious doubts.

He should probably have a word with his wife then...

Lewis Ferguson wins young player of the year.

Only 20 but has been probably one of the first picks for the team for the entirety of his two years at the club. Should be a future international and hopefully a few more years at Aberdeen before he inevitably plays at a higher level.
