Solid start to the season for Sevilla under Lopetegui. They have had to rebuild a new team yet again this season but still seem to look competitive as always.

Real Madrid also dropped points at home today against Valladolid. Their home form was woeful last season and they will have to improve on today's showing if they wish to change that.

Two slightly unexpected results this Saturday;

RC Celta Vigo 1-0 Valencia CF

Real Madrid 1-1 Real Valladolid

In the draw at the Santiago Bernabéu we can safely say Real Madrid got out of jail with quite a bit of luck in the end. That had defeat written all over it.

Barca finally pressing well enough to stop Betis transitioning into attack which they’ve been allowed to do too easily albeit with some good quality.

Barca’s best chance comes from width which they’ve only just started to take advantage of, 35 minutes into the game. Barca can win this game from the wide areas.

De Jong is also playing some strange role, not sure what his purpose is, strange one from Valverde.

No longer see Barca use width to their advantage as they used to do. They finally stretched the pitch in the last 10-15 minutes and looked ten times better. Betis need to adjust. The game before that was being played very centrally which worked to Betis’ advantage.

Perez has been dangerous in this second half and just topped it off with a goal. He's taking his chance tonight.

Griezmann also having a class game. Can tell the difference with Busquets on the pitch as well.

Watching the team in the 2nd half(and towards the end of the first) has been refreshing to be honest after a sloppy start which looked like it was going to be one of those games.

Ansu Fati should be brought on in my opinion. See what the kid can do.

Much better from Barca, pitch is a lot more stretched and the likes of Semedo, Alba, Perez taking up advanced wide areas. No surprise to see them all involved in the goals.

Betis have been very sloppy in possession though this second half which has also been a big factor in the current score line.

Great performance by Antoine Griezmann who showed passion, workrate and talent to pull Barça out of a dodgy start to the game and bring back confidence. Also of course, Sergio Busquets who infact was at fault for Fekir's goal for Real Betis and then came back to his great self. Youngsters like Carles Pérez (scored his first goal for the club) and then 16 year old Ansufati showing La Masia is alive and kicking rounded off a great night of football and 3 points for Barcelona in a 5-2 victory.

Oh... Loren's goal for Betis was a misile! WOW!

Disappearing after the team you don't like turned it around? Classic Teso.

Messi came down from the stands where he’d been watching the game and waited by the tunnel. He was waiting for the 16 year old debutant Ansu Fati.

When asked by the press what it all felt like, the kid could only answer this in tears;

“I can’t believe it, I find it difficult to breathe since last night when they told me I was in the first team squad. I can’t believe any of this!”

Thought Jordi Alba was excellent last night as well, some of his stats are proper impressive from the game!

Good win for Atletico, interesting to see them trying 3 at the back but potentially more flexible without Godin?

Odegaard scored for Sociedad as well, got a very promising young team there in Oyarzabal, Januzaj and Isak as well

Jordi Alba actually ended up playing as a striker when Junior Firpo came on and to be honest his positional play as a front man was pretty impressive and was called off-side erroneously in a late attack which would've ended in a goal.

Wonder if they’ll use him further forward in games now Firpo has come in?

Well, like most of contemporary great fullbacks of the era, most of them started their professional careers or were brought up as wingers and even full-on attackers as is the case with Alba. So he has it in his nature to understand and automatically execute what’s required in those areas of the field.

Barça currently have an attacking crisis due to injuries and some improvisation will be required.
