Assuming he’s also referring to Carrick and Joe Cole, do you agree?

United - Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Butt, Neville brothers,

West Ham - Lampard, Rio, Defoe Joe Cole, Carrick, Glen Johnson

The class of 2000 would be special if they won the same things the class of 92 won without moving clubs. Not to say that those players aren't good but that class of 92 is more special.

I'd say it's about equal. I'd risk saying that out of both 'classes' they only produced two elite players each, those being Giggs and Scholes for United; for West Ham; Lampard and Ferdinand.

Beckham and Carrick were arguably close, and Cole should have been; they rest I'd rate as very good players, with Gary Neville being the standout.
