I know there is a lot of anti- RB feeling in the BL, but games like this are still a really good advert for German footy!

Yeah, I think they should try and look at the bigger picture. Clubs like RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim at least have money and they buy some of the best young talent around the world. Then they develop many of them into world beaters and increase the quality of the Bundesliga.

If Werner played like that for Germany, they wouldn't have bowed out in the groups. Little fuckwit

Well, Nagelsmann is a hundred times more competent than Löw, so there's that as well.

Wow - Mainz one up against Bayern already!  Silly idea that the one goal moves them up 11 places in the table at this moment....

Mainz's lead didn't last long, good goal by Pavard on the volley after the skilled set up by Perisic.

Young Kenny having a good game and at last a goal - 0.sadly we have no one capable of doing that but Berlin have done it for us - please please get the Austrian lump off and get someone on who can at least walk if not run!!!!

Kenny is a really good player. It's a shame that Schalke don't appear to have an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Burgstaller is just not good enough, he seems even worse now, than he was a couple of seasons ago. Him and Harit upfront are hardly made of goals. Harit is a very skilled player, but he's not a natural scorer. Hertha's front line looks much better.

Half time and with another Burgstaller attempt going nowhere, Commentator Lindemann got about right - called him a Commando - can't remember when Austria last won a war!

Ooh, a little below the belt, that comment about the Austrians. But with only a couple of days left in the transfer window, Schalke really do need to get their act together in their pursuit of a quality striker. Mid-table mediocrity at most, is all they can expect with Burgstaller leading the line every week.

Unbelieveable - our little US person makes a good run - sets up Burgstaller for an easy finish - he misses it and hits a Berlin player who scores for us - 2-0 and still we haven't scored> Now Berlin score a third, but as usual, another forward who cannot see that there are no players between him and the keeper - they should learn the offside rule..

LMAO, says it all really. 2 goals scored by Hertha players but Schalke are the team leading 2-0, lol.

We are all agreed that Jonjoe is worth every pfennig he earns - at last a Schalke player with a goal.

Yes, Kenny looks a class act, probably the reason why Everton were reluctant to include an option to buy at the end of the loan deal.  I think Kenny will be yet another young Englishman to shine in the Bundesliga.
