Midweek

More interesting action for those involved in midweek:

  • No return to Mirandes for Mel as Real Sociedad progress in the Copa del Rey
  • Storts moves to the Premier League and now is 'supporting' third place Leicester City
  • A win for Manchester United in the FA Cup boosts those at the bottom up a couple of places and it's ANOTHER Manchester derby for them at the weekend
  • There were also wins for Swindon and Sheffield United too to add to the respective tallies
  • PAOK is the new destination for Batard (thank god as I struggle typing Olympiacos properly) after a 3-2 loss in the first leg of the semi finals of the Greek Cup (I think I put this down as a league game - oops). PAOK's next game isn't until the 22nd of April when the 2nd leg of the cup tie is currently set for but he has a few extra games than those around him so this might not be an issue?

Weekend Results

Another eventful weekend with a mixture of results... Here is what happened:

  • One game postponed due to the Coronavirus (Atalanta v Lazio)
  • Atletico Madrid drew and as did Wigan so there's some decisions to be made for those with those clubs currently
  • Dortmund's win means the top 2 are only separated by goal difference now although there are 2 games in hand to play
  • We had more losses than wins this weekend so more people moving around than those sticking.
  • Bad news for Evertonian Rando as his side lose 4-0 to Chelsea
  • Toinho joins his 14th club of the season after Swindon lose to Forest Green
  • More great news for the 'bottom' players as the red side of Manchester win another Manc derby!

Just been updating the table (will post after all the midweek fixtures) and noticed nobody has a negative goal difference!

I'm also happy to be with an Italian club which means I now have no game until April ;) 

Also, can you please get checked for the Coronavirus please @Batard as you've been with Olympiacos lately and I don't want you to spread it to other members of the game.

Midweek

Well, it's certainly been an eventful week both in and out of the football world but this is what's happened for our Gloryhunters:

  • Leicester picked up an emphatic win over Villa on Monday, winning 4-0
  • Another loss in the National League for Eco, HawayTheLads and londonerlilie means HawayTheLads sits at the base of the table with a 9 point gap to overcome
  • Some really interesting ties in Europe with Atalanta playing out a 7 goal thriller behind closed doors, PSG rubbed salt into the wound of Dortmund, Manchester United smashed 5 past LASK and Atletico took it to extra time before beating Champion's League holders Liverpool to knock them out.
