AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in signing Manchester United's Nemanja Matic, 31, when the Serbia midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season. (Calcio Mercato - in Italian)

Hasn't really set the world on fire after moving from Chelsea.

He started off ok but then hit the skids, I really thought he could be another Roy Keane in the making and future Captain at United but he just fizzled out, shame really, I think Mourinho liked him more than Ole does.

Willian to follow and change the song

The shit from Chelsea, They bought his flight!
But Will.I.An, he saw the light!
He got a call from the bond villain,
And off he went to White Hart Lane!
He hates Chelsea! He hates Chelsea! He hates Chelsea! And He hates Chelsea!

I actually like Matic but he's not the player he used to be. Plus, Spurs have plenty of physicality in midfield already.

I highly doubt they'd be pursuing this. Mourinho surely isn't that much of a meme.

Yeah, that's not happening. Lazy journalism

If anything, Mourinho will stick with a pain in the ass midfield trio of Eriksen, Ndombele, and Sissoko

Dier-Ndombele strikes me as quite a Mourinho-ish double pivot. One big lump who's basically like an extra CB, and one all-round technician who also has the physical qualities to get back and forth effectively.

Mou loves Dier, tried to sign him for United multiple times. Expect him back in the team

Yup

Although he did play Modric, even when he wasn't doing well, and they are the same sort of player... so you never know

Yeah I doubt this Matic thing has any truthfulness to it at all - he's tried to sign Dier multiple times at United and as a pundit made it pretty clear he rates Dier pretty highly. Similar players, except Matic's lost his legs and Dier still has plenty of energy.
