No, but my Mom was born in the USSR.

Oh, cool. I was joking obviously, as your two countries have an interesting history. Did you ever learn Russian?

Yeah - but I only use it with my family..which I don't use enough so it's not as good as it used to be.

  • 2 weeks later...

Usually a massive match this weekend, as we take on Lokomotiv, but I'd bet my savings that we get pelted this weekend.

Any points and I'll take them, as I'm not really enjoying sitting at mid-table.

And I'd be a happily broke SoB.

Spartak won 3-0 against League leaders Lokomotiv this weekend. Lokomotiv surely dominated the stats, but really didn't have a ton of clear chances in the box, whereas Spartak's first goal was an absolute dime of a lob over the keeper, and then number 2 and 3 coming near the end off the counter. Great showing by the Spartak fans, and overall great performance!

Well, it's been crazy here recently, but I was able to watch the Spartak match yesterday and was surprised as it might have been the best we've played all year.

2-0 on the road against Dinamo is a very good result.

Odd table right now, as your have Zenit  (46 pts) who will be crowned champions again, and then 4 teams level with 35 points, and followed by 4 teams with 25 teams,  all with 10 matches remaining this year.

Spartak are currently in the group of 35, so they need a lot to go right if they are going to make a European Spot next year, and they could do themselves a massive favor next week as they play Krasnador.
