Is there any reason for this being on the Wednesday?

I don't get it either considering there's the CL semi-final first leg as well. How does anyone validate to their upper management that broadcasting two games, that too semi-finals, is a good idea on the same day? Weird. I originally thought the date was wrong.

Bertrand Traore glances in a header which evades the keeper. Good start by Ajax.

Good thing he has that hairstyle, otherwise he wouldn't have touched the ball.

so this game is on today because May 4th is Remembrance Day in Netherlands.

Yes, at 8PM in the Netherlands tomorrow public life pretty much stops for 2 minutes, which would make playing a football game difficult as well.

Maybe Schalke got the date wrong and that's why they stopped playing football against Ajax.

Dolberg with a sumblime finish makes it 2-0 for Ajax.

I predicted Lyon to win the Europa, but honestly I'd like to see Ajax win it more. Time for a "feeder league" club to win a continental competition again.

I've heard good things about Kasper Dolberg, I've seen his goal compilations, but this is the first time I've seen him play. He's been very impressive tonight.

he and Traore (On loan from Chelsea) have been the best players I think.

Ajax coud run riot here if they wanted to.

And that goal could be key! Valbuena gets an away goal for Lyon. The pushing forward has paid off in some sense now.

Goal Ajax! 4-1 now! 3-goal advantage restored.

Brilliant whipped cross. Gonalons doesn't follow the winger, instead just sticks his arm up and stands still xD. Fancy that from your captain!? Shocking.

Younes is up there with one of the best germans right now

his finishing is a bit underwhelming. I know he's scored, but he's had 2 other golden chances where he could have been much more clinical!
