I'm a member at Schalke and received an email from them yesterday about some slight changes to the membership conditions and in the email they mentioned that there are 160,000 members now at Schalke so yes I'd agree this chart is quite accurate! Eco 2,833
Well - I believe that I've finally paid for Year 2 of my Augsburg membership. Thank you @Tommy for being on call, but I got in touch with my bank and was able to just directly transfer the funds. Now it's just about waiting for confirmation, but here. we. go!

I was considering a membership for a smaller club. Dortmund doesn't need my money . I have an application for Freiburg. Was also considering Osnabrück as my family are originally from there.

I also placed a fairly large order for shirts and kits as you can't really find a site that sells knock offs for cheap, so I went ahead and got a home, away, and 3rd, plus 4 shirts, and some sweatbands that I'll wear for tennis.
Coma 825
How do you get club crests added to the database? I should rep VFL now and then.

Coma 825
Just curious, how much was the membership for Augsburg? I did some research and the costs vary significantly per club.

Coma 825
Dortmund is 62 euros per annum. VFL is 90. Freiburg is 40!

It's one of the things I absolutely love about German football, the 50+1 rule, and while you have a few teams that skate around it, it's still a good rule and one that should be admired. I did find this chart, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. https://www.statista.com/statistics/595935/german-bundesliga-clubs-member-numbers/ Found this from Kicker today - a list of 18 clubs with most members. 8 of them are in the 2. Liga this season. It's also good to see that the clubs that have been struggling and/or got relegated in recent years could not only hold their membership members, but actually even increase them. Union membership figures rose most significantly - around 8000 more in two years in 1. Bundesliga.

Coma 825
Stuttgart membership is 48 euros through the end of the year. Increases to 60 euros on January 1. Very reasonable.

So when you apply for a membership the club won't take a credit card, which I find weird, but it is what it is. My question is, what is the IBAN number? Is it somehow linked or part of your routing/bank account number?

I was asked specifically for an IBAN but I don't think the club knew I wasn't in Deutschland.

You can open a Euro account and get an IBAN account number for transactions in Europe.

For Augsburg, they provided me with their account numbers, and I was able to just set up a wire transfer directly into their accoutn with my Mitiglied # .
