Man City will qualify if they beat Atalanta, regardless of the result in the other game.

Why are they playing at the San Siro?

Atalanta's stadium not fit for European football.

Zagreb has started terribly. Worst I've seen of them yet. Looks like a different formation to the one they played in Ukraine though.

Shakhtar 1-0 up in Croatia.

Excellent use of var there. But it will never get any better @Stan @Grizzly21

Haha yep.

Correct decision to overturn the original penalty to a free-kick.

Correct decision to award the penalty after the free-kick was blocked by the player's hand.

And Jesus misses the penalty with one of the worst attempts ever.

That took about 30 seconds to award the penalty. You get a stockage anyway. Of the premier League can replicate that I will be more than happy

Atalanta equalise. No fault of bravo though. I think the one weakness man city have is they can't play badly and still win. Doesn't matter most of the time though I suppose

Petkovic has been outstanding for Zagreb. Made up for Orsic and Olmo's poorer games than usual. Proper target man, held up the ball and played a lot of one touch football.

Also, Marlos getting sent off 5 minutes after Zagreb also got a red is peak Ukraine football.

Shakhtar score again. Zagreb lead 3-2 with 2 minutes to go. Hopefully they hold on.

Wow, that's not a penalty at all. VAR better rule this out.

It is given, but looks like it wasn't for the challenge on Taison but rather a foul on Pyatov who was up for the corner.

So VAR did well to spot that then, you might say...

3-3. It went from being a very dull game to very exciting. Gutted for Dinamo Zagreb but they didn't have the resiliency to hold on sadly.

I still think Zagreb will go through. Sure Shakhtar have Atlanta at home but I think Zagreb can beat Atalanta away and at least draw City at home.

However, they need to go back to their best. If they play like they did today, City will take a comfortable win.

@Stan they are trying to blame the referees for not using the pitchside monitors in the premier League. It's not actually their fault though they have been told not to

I know.

That lies at the door of Mike Riley at PGMOL. His instructions I'd imagine.

I get why they did it. But I think it had been taken to far. They balance right. But I believe they will.  It does show how easily var can be misinterpreted. Out of interest do you feel var has improved in the leagues it has been used. You watch the a league don't you where it has been used for a while?
