Lazio took the lead early on but Celtic have just equalised through Forrest after 38mins. They had been pushing for the equaliser so I'd say it's deserved. Forrest took the goal well. Power and accuracy from a tight-ish angle.

Is Lennon showing Rodgers up in Europe?

Not that hard tbh, he's never really taken European competition seriously

Wouldn't really say he's never taken it seriously, his results have just been poor

He played a second string lineup against Real Madrid - don't care what anyone says about "oh we needed to focus on the league" because that's fucking bollocks. If Real Madrid are coming to Anfield, you play the strongest lineup and take it seriously. You don't go and get yourself dicked over at home by European royalty, when you've got a chance for a real momentum building match.

Oh no doubt he got that wrong (think it was the away game he rested a load of players though, the home game was grim as well mind) He got plenty of other things wrong in Europe too. Going out of the Europa League to Zenit and Besiktas and a Champions League group containing Basel and Ludogorets proves that.

I think Rodgers is kind of like a Guardiola in Europe - he didn't really get anything hugely wrong tactically but we mostly just blew it in stupid circumstances. At first it seemed freakish, but then it became consistent and you realise there's something more than sheer bad luck at play.

Lennon doesn't always get us playing great, but if his team can stay in the game, its more likely to rise to the occasion.

Rodgers was tactically poor in Europe to be honest.

Would set the team up the same against PSG as he would against St Mirren.

There was no way of playing against PSG that could have got us near a result. It was better to avoid confusing the squad, stick to the plan, get pumped, and brush it off. Those games from a competitive standpoint were meaningless.

Plus, playing gung-ho against Bayern nearly brought us to a brilliant result but again we conceded stupid goals and wasted chances. It also got us a point home and away against City.

Im more thinking of games like the draw away against Gladbach in his first season (I think?) where we battered them, or a fucking corner costing us CL qualification against AEK.

Games that we could have won, played quite well in, and then consistently found ways to miss-out in.

A bus full of Celtic fans was ambushed after the match. It's insane that people treat football as if it's an actual war. Lazio ultras really are a bunch of bastards.

Chris Sutton is a massive cunt but can't blame him for going nuts in the way that game was won.

Chris Sutton can fuck off. If anybody else made that commentary, he’d be all over it calling them small time. He’s a fucking Grade A cock.
