Booo, everyone just used Google. I at least racked my brains

I did some part brain-wracking! Some questions I'd have had absolutely no idea.

I would have aced every question otherwise. However I do try not to use Google usually, and if I know 8 questions then I'll have a pop at the other two without Google

Almost Oriental - Round 2 - Food

  1. Name a popular Chinese sweet
  2. Besides traditional Malaysian cuisine, name one of the two other influential cuisines from Malaysia.
  3. Name a popular beer from Far-East Asia
  4. Name one of the ingredients of Chankonabe (its what Sumo wrestlers eat to gain calories)
  5. Name a cut of beef used in Korean BBQ
  6. Name a popular type of Satay
  7. Name a dish from Shokugeki No Soma (Food Wars) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_Wars!:_Shokugeki_no_Soma
  8. Name a type of rice originally from China
  9. Name a popular Mongolian dish
  10. Name a popular breakfast item found only in Taiwan

Notes

  • I'll wait till Sunday to call out the results so that should give everyone plenty of time to send their answers in
  • Some of these are subject to spelling mistakes on the internet so I will go ahead and club answers together even if you spell them wrong
  • You don't have to answer the questions correctly. E.g. for #7 you could name a dish they haven't cooked in the series and as long as others have said the same you'll get points for it
  • Beer variations will be treated as standalone answers. E.g. adding lite/light to a beer name will mark it as separate answer. This does not mean that someone else won't say the same thing it just means I am treating them as different answers.

Good luck.

I've been meaning to ask this question to the group. Do you'll answer these on your phones or on a PC? I only ask this because sometimes the questions require a bit of digging and I can soften the search a bit by making them more mainstream.

Just now, Bluebird Hewitt said:

I answer on my phone.

Noted. Is it cumbersome to keep going back and forth? If so, let me know and I'll sort it out to get a much more easier mix for answering into the next round.
