roversgirl
Quote Captain Jason Lowe is one of eight players released by Blackburn following their relegation to League One. The long-serving midfielder, 25, played 203 games for Rovers in seven years. Defenders Adam Henley, Wes Brown, Gordon Greer and Joshua Askew, midfielders Hope Akpan and Danny Guthrie and striker Ramirez Howarth are also leaving the club on June 30th. New contracts have been offered to youth defender Lewis Travis, 19, and midfielder Connor Mahoney, 20. Source: BBC Football No surprise that all out of contact players, bar Mahoney, have been released as they are all on very decent wages. I would have liked to have kept Lowe, Henley and Guthrie (the latter two on one year deals) but the others will be no loss. With the loan players returning to their clubs we are in desperate need of senior players this summer and even more so if we lose the likes of Mulgrew, Bennett, Graham and Conway!
