Dave
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is set to sign an improved extended contract at Bramall Lane - designed to ward off interest from the new owners of Sunderland. Wilder had been odds-on favourite to move to the Stadium of Light once Stuart Donald's takeover of Sunderland is confirmed in the next few days. However, Sky Sports News understands Wilder, along with Alan Knill and the rest of his backroom staff, have agreed to remain at Bramall Lane for a third season, despite the increasingly acrimonious dispute over the ownership of the Championship club.
