Dave Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Sky Sports seem to think that Fulham are offering ten million and Southampton will reject it. Highlighting that Southampton see him as a big part of their future. This raises a couple of interesting talking points for me. The first being what players are Fulham going to be to attract. They've lost Fredericks, may lose out on Targett, and no guarantee of signing Mitrovic. That all said, it must be pleasing for the fans to see ambition being shown if they're willing to spend ten million on a left back. The second being what does this mean for Ryan Bertrand. If Southampton are not on keeping Matt Targett, does this mean he's ready for the first team at Southampton? Plus, where would Bertrand go? The talk of Danny Rose leaving Spurs has settled down a lot which seemed like the most likely route. That said, you'd imagine at a reasonable price that Liverpool, Arsenal, United and even City wouldn't mind him as a squad option. Albeit they have all got other positions they want to strengthen first. Everton would be the best option for first team football.
