I feel we had this discussion before.

The geography in Skyrim is quite diverse, even if it may look the same because it's all wintry. You had the highlands of the Reach, the autumnal forests around Riften, tundras, hot springs, both leaf and pine forests, and snowy wastelands, all modelled after realistic geography. I thought it was pretty sweet. It doesn't feel as outerworldly as Morrowind, but I think every hold did have its own feel to it.

The only thing that bothers me about Skyrim is that the towns are so small and uninteresting. Oddly enough, Elder Scrolls Online is the game that nails this, as each capital is a metropolis with tons of life and own character. Sentinel and any of the Elven cities are quite magnificent.

And Whiterun is the only place to really do anything

After WW2? Where the fuck is it going to be set? The suburbs of LA? The whole point of Red Dead Redemption was that the wild west was dying and the times of outlaws was over.

No, not after WWII but sometime before, some WWII weapons weren't event made in the setting of the first RDR.

It's okay. It's 5 courses over 5 months and did the 3rd one today. I can see why work have put us through the course, as it can benefit management/supervision. It's made me think about a few things anyway.

Yeah that's the one. xD Not a fan then? We have the book and he did ask us to read it but i haven't touched it yet. Why do you hate it?

Also, nice to see i'm on my own with the Iphone. :bye:

You're not on your own with the iPhone. I'm a proud owner of a 5whatever :)

Haha - we shall see. They have closed down some school and businesses because of this front, so I'm about to see just how dangerous (or not) it really is.

Stand outside shirtless during this storm :D

  5. Had to escape university life and respond to some obligations back home, so I dusted off the Gameboy Advanced and started playing Pokemon Ruby (my first Pokemon game).... A wild Nostalgia appeared. I think I'm going to bring this back to school because console gaming has gone stale for me at the moment.

Yep the sniper mechanics are great and it's still as satisfying as to pop a man's testicles from 200 yards away as it was 5 years ago. I do think the level design is quite poor, particularly the spawning of enemies which often negates any traps you've laid and feels really unnatural. Levels are too linear for my liking too (I was disappointed at the lack of verticality in a lot of missions, I wanted to find my own vantage points and pick enemies off from up high rather than fight them in the streets) and there often aren't many ways to go about achieving an objective. Have they improved upon these in 3 and 4?

I think so! There's one level where you can take vantage over a dock, and pick of an officer from the cliffs above.

Visited this place today for the first time:

For me now one of my favourite spots in Düsseldorf. Such beautiful gardens around the whole Castle. Weather was great too, so I somehow ended up in a Beer Garden again :35_thinking:

Was that on your run? I had a formal over the weekend, and me being courteous, bought my date a drink. I had Jack Daniels on the rocks, and she had a rum and Coke. It was $15, for what's otherwise $6 total. The beers were $5.50 a can, when cans are worth $1 after tax.

Playing through a bit of Hitman too now that all of the missions have been released. It's a fantastic game now that it's been patched and all of the content is there, I must admit that I was put off at launch by the server problems and even though I can understand why they did it I hated how the missions were released monthly rather than just being there right off the bat.

I've finished Paris, Sapienza & Marrakesh which have all been stunning.

I fucked up on Marakkesh the first time playing, I dropped the toilet IN FRONT of the officer :D

Reinstalled Sniper Elite V2 after seeing you guys discussing the new one. It's good fun although it is showing it's age but the core mechanics are still pretty good. Might pick up no. 4 soon.

The sniper mechanics are fantastic. I love how you aren't able to hold your breath after sprinting. Seems CoD can take notes there.

Great isn't it? Started it just before my holiday and really need to pick it up again before I forget all about it.

It's a real improvement on Sniper Elite 3 which was already a good game.

I love it, it's everything you can ask for in a game, in my opinion.
