Dave
Some very surprising results this week just further emphasising how close and random this league is. Plenty of chaos at Stoke City highlighted this week. So they went out and beat Hull City convincingly Then there's Bolton, being well on course as one nil specialists, playing a slow starting Sheffield United team. So what's the obvious score? Not 3-0 Sheffield United. Then there's Wigan, unbeaten, playing a QPR team without a win. So who takes the three points? QPR of course. Which is great for QPR as it means they're on par with the likes of Rotherham. Nope. They get an unexpected victory against Millwall. Aston Villa dropping points against Reading was another surprise, but seeing Sam Baldock missing a stinker and then equalizing in the 93rd minute was a great moment. On a side note the winners of the weekend were definitely Blackburn Rovers. To beat an in form Brentford without Bradley Dack must almost feel like gaining six points. Great to see the Derby County players reacting well to Frank Lampard, Andreas Weimann keep up his purple patch, Leeds continue their form under Bielsa and Ipswich fans question their judgement too. The strike from Lolley against Birmingham is well worth a watch if you haven't seen it. His record against Birmingham is absolutely ridiculous.
