Dave Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 @Marc Some West Brom fans are moaning about the lack of ambition, but given this is a trial it's nothing more than an opportunity to establish whether they can create competition. I expect their attitude and application to be second to none. Quote West Brom have taken former Norwich duo Wes Hoolahan and Russell Martin on trial, according to Sky sources. Midfielder Hoolahan, 36, and centre-back Martin, 32, were both released by Norwich at the end of last season. Head coach Darren Moore is still open to strengthening his squad and will run the rule over the pair this week. It is understood if they impress, Moore will invite them back to train with the full squad next week before making a final decision.
Marc Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Yea they are both top pros, a trial is nothing to lose for WBA. I don’t think martin can still play at championship level, but I think Hoolahan could in cameo rules and start a few. You need a big squad in the championship. I wouldn’t like either to play against us in a perfect world. Legends from a memorable era for Norwich and they were the last two left from it (lambert era, double promotion and then relegation and a play off final win.
Dave Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Wes Hoolahan has been signed. I bet he can't believe his luck.
