If you know CFB...that is a pretty funny mistake. xD

The way the game ended though. Still doesn't come close to army vs navy but these type of games are always a must watch for me.

In all seriousness, it is so cool to watch this, and it's a fantastic gesture by the Iowa HAWKEYES.

(For those that don't understand the joke, the Ohio State BUCKEYES are one of Iowa's Rivals.)

Lmao 😂 thanks for pointing out my mistake, finally I get to experience that feeling for the first time.

The Iowa hawkeyes built that hospital for sick children only... during the end of every 1st quarter, the fans turn around and wave at the kids and family and as a neutral it brings joy to see those innocent kids waving back and having a smile, like they haven't in a while and to some it may be the last big cheese smile they have a chance to enjoy, that is worth the ticket price itself  . Not being a pro sports enables college sports to have a deeper connection with fans than just with their money. The opposing team putting the score to the side and allowing a blind player to hold the ball for a kicker or allowing a five time cancer survivor be the designated holder for the place kicker makes all fans of the sport love it even more. The atmosphere while playing metallica's enter sandman as the whole stadium is being shaken by all the home fans as virginia tech enters the field and the navy versus army game are part of my bucket list.

I enjoyed the MLS game i attended and although it was packed with many loyal fans... a good portion is there for the city of Atlanta and not necessarily the team and most big cities have fans like that. Maybe one or two generations of passionate MLS fans will start creating a connection that will pave the way but college football is the closest thing to what football means to the rest of the world..

Would you rather be CL winners & top of the league and having a 16-year old reject you, or play in the Europa League, be shit in the league and have the youngster sign?

Trust the mf process... wasnt that team a mid table a few years ago and if its wasnt for Saints great scouts, they would still be a midtable team trying to still catch up with Man Utd?

  5. Apart from Pogba, Maguire, and AWB the rest of the squad has been inconsistent the majority of the season. All the signs of potential greatness and domination are all over the team and the youngsters on the rise. Appoint a proper coach and continue the new transfer strategy is all they need to do and the consistency will come. Greenwood, martial, awb, maguire, James, and the promising youngster s might just be the ones that put an end to the over escalated "liverpool is finally going to win it" hype.  Unless they finish the job this year, I dont see liverpool having it anymore easier than this year with only man citeh as a realistic contender.

  6. West Ham are in reportedly talks over the signing of 16-year-old striker Mipo Odubeko — who scored 35 goals for Manchester United’s academy last season.

That’s according to 90 Min, who ran their story on the Republic of Ireland U-17 international on Saturday, noting how he rejected ah offer from the Red Devils in July and left Old Trafford following the expiration of his contract.

United have apparently continued their attempts to convince the player to sign but without success. Perhaps the player and his representatives believe his development will be best served away from Manchester, but that’s hardly accurate when you see the amount of youngsters Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought into the first team since becoming manager earlier this year.

Being a free agent at 17, any club signing him would need to pay compensation which could be set by a tribunal unless the two clubs can agree on a figure between them.

Meanwhile, United have recently been linked with a move for 15-year-old West Ham defender Jamal Baptiste, who has played for the U-23s this season. He’s used to playing well above his age and made 14 appearances for the U-18s last season, as well as representing England at U-16 level.

If there’s no way to convince Odubeko to re-sign at United, and he fancies joining the Hammers, perhaps we could wiggle some deal in that could see Baptiste go the other way?

  7. Maybe silva didnt mean to offend but posting that as a public figure is a major no-no. The worst part about it is that ONCE again Pep shows how much of a cunt he is . It would of been so simple to just say Silva made a mistake and move on but instead he tries to defend his player... bet the sorry son rubs his head at night as he reminds himself that pep is perfect and above ALL others.

Was meant to see Metallica next month but they’ve just cancelled their Australia and New Zealand tour. Hetfield’s alcoholism is back on by the looks and he’s off to some rehab. Hopefully beats it this time...

Metallica will be around for more years I'm sure but I couldn't risk not seeing my favorite rock band live. Concert was earlier this year and by far the best one I have went to.

  9. Guti: “I dream of being a coach, I’m not thinking about Real Madrid”

Real Madrid’s former magic man in the midfield was unveiled last night as an ambassador for La Liga. During the ceremony, media was granted access to ask questions to the new inductees with Jose Maria Guti being asked about Zidane, Real Madrid, and his coaching aspirations.

“Is it my dream to coach Real Madrid? No. My dream is to be a coach, that’s all. Real Madrid is separate. When I speak of Real Madrid, I speak as a fan. I dream of being a coach, that’s it,” Guti stated. After a twitter post criticizing Zidane and the team in Paris, many felt Guti was possibly positioning himself for the Madrid job. Guti looked to clarify those statements, by commenting on Zidane’s body of work. “Nobody is going to do what Zidane has done as a coach at Real Madrid. It’s always hard to return to a team and, little by little, they’re improving”.

Questions soon turned to the former Madridista’s playing days, where he was asked, as so often is the case, about his back-heel assist to Benzema. “It’s true that I am always reminded of my back-heel assist to Benzema against Deportivo, but my favorite is another back-heel pass, which was to Zidane against Sevilla. But it is true, everywhere I go they remind me of it a lot,” he told reporters at the La Liga Ambassadors event.

It’s clear, Guti is eager to be handed the managerial role for a European club. After his resounding success with Real Madrid’s Juvenil A, there had been interest from second division sides, but instead Guti opted to take the assistant manager role at Besiktas. After his stint in Turkey, where the club was marred in controversy, Guti is now ready to take the reigns as first team coach elsewhere. Madrid fans will eagerly watch his development as a manager given he has already showed great promise.
