Been to 3 independent shows recently. 2 revpro and one a local company. Was surprised by the quality of the local one as they aren't big at all. Seen a few Tna wrestlers, dani luna, Leon slater and josh alexander. Also seen grizzled young veterans. Orange casidy showed up for one event. Seen osprey as well. Spoke to dani luna at the bristol show and told her how good her match was at a previous show. Might go to the 12 year revpro anniversary show. Its the night before all in so will stay the night if I do

Josh Alexander is awesome. Hopefully he can get himself in NXT via Ethan Page soon.

Tell me how to feel about this? Naturally I know nothing about him but I see lots of excitement and positivity basically from all sides?

22 year old right midfielder. Can play as a ten if required. Technically very good, can take free kicks and skip past a man. He's really stepped up this season in terms of link up play and drifting unmarked in to the box. The only red flag is that he seems to have reoccurring hamstring problems but the improvement he's made given the limited number of appearances is really impressive.

This video was made around the time we started our insane finish to the season:

I think he will be a success at Bayern. There may not be instant gratification as he adapts to a new club but once he's settled I imagine you'll see him progress in to an all round very good right sided midfielder. I'd be surprised if he misses out on the France World Cup as long as he remains injury free.

  3. If this materialises ill be happy for him. Playing for a side expecting to challenge for major trophies every season is exactly the level he should be playing at.

The hardest part about the model we committed to in 2021 is the selling aspect. If the first player we sell goes to a club as prestigious as Bayern, then that sends a very strong message to young players we attempt to sign about how well they can develop here.

Another issue I think we have is Pep tax. It's not just him but arguably Arteta too. I think so many of these players look out of their comfort zones playing for England. Beneficiaries of a system built to maximise their abilities in a very particular style. Look at Rice earlier - looked an absolute fish out of water a lot of that game because he hasn't got the same runs and options around him that he has at Arsenal. In England the top teams have become massively about players fitting a system while individual flair is dampened somewhat, and I think this is why a lot of them look a bit off when playing for England. Could be talking total rubbish here but just a theory.

I said this to someone I was with at the Serbia match about Phil Foden. He was either making movements that our players couldn't pick out in possession, or he didn't have the players to cover for him when he was roaming and we had big gaps on the left side. It's why I'm not surprised both goals have come from down the right.

I haven't watched enough German Football this season to know if they do it for us but seeing the way Musiala and Wirtz swap sides and float past people seems far more effective in tournament football.

Incredible, and he's fucking 16! He's still going to be considered a youngster in the next 2-3 tournaments.

It's a shame Barcelona will play him in all the La Liga matches, and the Copa Del Rey, and the new expanded Champions League, and the Super League, and the World Club Cup, and he will be burnt out by the time he's meant to graduate from university.

  6. I don't think it's as bad as people will make out. He plays to player strengths as opposed to a certain philosophy. He had a very good reputation in the England set up and has improved both Swansea and Nottingham Forest. Whilst I accept the 5-0 defeat to Fulham which led to his dismissal was dismal, they had eleven points in fourteen games which would have been enough to keep them up last season.

Looks like we're doing a dirty deal with Aston Villa to help both clubs skirt the corrupt PSR rules. If you can't beat them, join them.

Essentially, if you sell a player for a low initial fee with add-ons, you can count the full value of the sale toward your incomings, but the buying club only has to count the initial fee paid in their outgoings.

So Aston Villa are selling us Tim Irogbaneam and we're selling them Lewis Dobbin. Both deals will have low down-payments and nice sized add-ons later. Both clubs have their PSR position improved by swapping a pair of squad players over.

Looks like Chelsea and Aston Villa might actually be doing something similar with Maatsen and Duran.

About time we started playing a bit dirty after last season instead of just accepting our fate and letting Man Utd low-ball us for Branthwaite.

It's sad to see what you've become.

England look fucking awful. This is comfortably the worst we've looked in a Southgate tournament. I've thought throughout we'll lose when we hit a big team but I actually think we might well be humbled in surprising fashion here. We're all over the place.

As much as I think some of the criticism against Southgate is people looking for somebody to blame, if we don't make it to the semis at least and get beaten by a France, Germany or a Portugal then he should resign.

He's done a fantastic job at changing the culture of this England team, but we know hes not a world class tactician and losing at an earlier stage to an inferior nation would show he's taken us as far as he can.

Well it came out of Walkers mouth, it isn't Southgate's instructions to defend after they take a lead, Walker says Gareth asks them to play attacking football. If Walker is putting that down to "managing the game", then a lot of responsibility needs to be aimed at the players.

We have a lot of attacking players who naturally want to recieve the ball deep, which explains the lack of pressing and why Sterling used to be a favourite.
