  1. Arsenal, City and Newcastle next..................I'd be worried.
  2. Barcelona are looking at Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, 40, as a potential replacement for their Spanish manager Xavi Hernandez, 42. (Sport) Here's interesting. Would he or wouldn't he?
  3. Important week next week for Spurs. CL qualification depends on it and so I think a pivotal match in the PL against Liverpool. Beat Liverpool and our season opens up. Sadly y fingers are crossed instead of feeling totally confident. But, coming back for 2-0 down normally means a bout of good form comes so COYS.
  4. Match of the Day 2: Why is the atmosphere at Tottenham so negative? Match of the Day 2: Why is the atmosphere at Tottenham so negative?Close Match of the Day 2's Alan Shearer, Mark Chapman and Ashley Williams discuss whether all is as it should be at Tottenham after a 2-1 home defeat by Newcastle United. Watch Match of the Day 2 on iPlayer. I totally agree and I'm happy that some famous football names agree with me. Everything is set up rightly in place at Tottenham, all that is needed is the right brand of football. A good performance where we boss the match and away we will go.
  5. Mauricio Pochettino is keen to return as Tottenham Hotspur‘s manager amid rumours linking him with Steven Gerrard’s job at Aston Villa, according to a report from 90min. I sincerely hope not, never rehire, it's not a good idea.
  6. "Could haves" mean nothing, the fact is he didn't. Salah "Could have" scored 3 in many games, so could Kane and any other striker in the league. It's what happened which counts not "might" and "could" and "if" and "should." They ALL mean nothing. Yes, runaway leaders early on don't normally last the pace so I agree with you. 1-0 is never a disastrous defeat, had it been 4-0 then worries would have set in but for me, Liverpool just edged deserving to win it. Sadly I fear that's the win to kick start them proper.
  7. Yesterday's wasn't a disastrous scoreline so you'll be ok, just a minor setback. Did wonder whether Haaland would score though. Maybe, like Kane he's good against lower teams and not so good against top teams.
  8. Like our first half performance today ay Storts?
  9. Well now, Brighton without Potter?????????????? Lost last night which for me takes the gloss off of our win there now. They've vastly overachieved with Potter and so is this now the start of a more traditional Brighton? I think so. Makes a good win today doubly important now because I still cannot accurately gauge our form.
  10. It's also a different competition so you can't compare performances. Having said that I don't think City will have it all their own way on Sunday. We receive no news of Scottish football here in Switzerland except the CL.
  11. Well, at least we won. I think this CL group just might go down to the wire.
  12. I've been living in Geneva since 2001 and I didn't realise that the difference between English and Scottish football was so stark. Well done tonight. I love The Scots being shut up.
  13. Jamie O'Hara has pleaded with Conte to give Spence a chance, might make all the difference. We have a nailed on three points next weekend and I think City are at Liverpool who played some good stuff at Arsenal so this might be a good chance for us to cement our position at the top. Must admit though, I wouldn't like to predict a winner. Also Man U v Newcastle U.............very interesting match.
  14. Gordon out for next week so if we don't get three points from a 4 goal win I'll be very disappointed.
  15. Andy Hinchcliffe teared into Richarlison during Tottenham Hotspur’s win on Saturday, telling Sky Sports (broadcast on 8/10; 19:05) that his misplaced pass which led to a Brighton shot was so poor. This Is NOT what one expects from our most expensive signing. Welbeck shot and just missed the target after this. I'm sorry to harp on but he NEEDS to improve. By Jordan Harris
  16. For me Richarlison isn't doing what £60m should be doing Dr Gonzo and this time(and it's not very often) I agree with Merson. Subbed last week, benched this week.
  17. After today's result I'm going to take Spurs to win the next two home matches. Everton play Man Utd next and then our next two league matches are Everton and Man Utd, often works like that. Let's see which Utd turns up tomorrow.
  18. TopLatestPopular Follow 'All due respect': Merson claims Spurs are better when £133k-a-week star is benchedHITC 1h Paul MersonDejan KulusevskiRicharlison. What do you think of this Storts?
  19. Have you forgotten the hat trick against Ajax Storts? I'd give him another chance. Are you still happy with Richarlison?
  20. He's already had a huge transfer budget hasn't he? I think he has anyway and if Pep leaves soon then who of his calibre will replace him? City would drop.
  21. Kane and Son misfiring, Richarlison subbed. Drop Kane to give him a rest and bring in Lucas Moura. Son needs a rest too. Richarlison has only scored two goals all season. Just what's wrong? Can't put my finger on it.
  22. Well, we won after the defeat against Sporting but it doesn't count as it's the PL, what we have to do is bounce back in The CL. MUST beat Frankfurt.
