I'm surprised at how good some of the pre-tournament offers were. SkyBet had Saliba/Van Dijk both to commit 2+ fouls in the Group Stage at 3/1. I didn't watch the Netherlands match yesterday but looking at the stats Van Dijk committed two so that's halfway in already. Presumably Saliba starts France's games in which case that has a good chance of coming in too...

Nothing offensive, don't worry. At the time of posting (before the goal) it was a bit scrappy and cagey. Neither team carving out clear opportunities and the players you'd expect to shine weren't really in the game (Mudryk, Tsygankov ineffective, Dovbyk not seeing much of the ball). Since the goal the intensity has upped on both sides and it is a better game.

This game is playing out as poorly as expected.

Don't think we need to go into overdrive and panic about the latter stages just yet. It's the first game in a group stage and better to build yourself into the tournament instead of peaking too soon. It's a young squad in some senses so there's still some things to learn. And there were definitely lots of positives to go with from tonight. Main thing is 3 points. All that matters.
